Mechanism of stochastic resonance in viscoelastic channel flow
Stochastic resonance (SR), the phenomenon discovered more than 40 years ago in bistable nonlinear dynamical systems in the presence of weak periodic forcing and external noise, results in strong amplification of the periodic signal, though at shifted frequency.
Universal scaling behavior of transport properties in non-magnetic RuO2 - Communications Materials
Abstract As a prototypical altermagnet, RuO2 has been subject to many controversial reports regarding its magnetic ground state and the existence of the crystal Hall effect. We obtained a high-quality RuO2 single crystal with a residual resistivity ratio (RRR = 152), and carefully measured its magnetization, longitudinal resistivity (ρxx) and Hall resistivity (ρyx) in magnetic field up to 35 T.
Improving Faradaic Efficiency for Conversion of Bicarbonate to Formate Using Indium-Bismuth Alloy Electrocatalysts
1. Introduction Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Excessive carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions have caused environmental problems, spurring the search for solutions to mitigate rising CO2 levels. (1−4) One approach gaining increasing attention is the electrocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR), where CO2 molecules are converted to value-added chemicals. (5,6) However, the CO2RR entails significant challenges.

The interplay between DNA damage response and mitochondrial dysfunction in radiotherapy
1 Introduction Radiotherapy is a cornerstone of cancer treatment and has become an integral component of comprehensive tumor management. By precisely targeting solid tumor cells with high-energy radiation, radiotherapy has been extensively utilized in the treatment of the majority of tumors. Reports indicate that about 70% of cancer patients require radiotherapy at different stages of their illness due to various reasons (1, 2).
Strengthening the anaerobic bioelectrochemical oxidation of ammonium by adding anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonate
Typically, the anammox process is considered a series of biochemical reactions that occur on the membrane of the anammoxsome. This process can only be completed inside the cells and is highly dependent on ammonium (NH4+) and nitrite (NO2−). This characteristic has become the main bottleneck for applying anammox technology in mainstream wastewater treatment [1].

Preserving Molecular Tuning for Enhanced Electrocatalytic CO2‐to‐Ethanol Conversion
Introduction Electrochemical CO2 reduction (CO2R) to valuable chemicals and fuels is recognized as a sustainable approach for carbon mitigation and energy storage, particularly in the context of intermittent renewable electricity.1 However, achieving highly selective towards economically desirable products, such as ethanol (EtOH) and other C2+ oxygenates, from CO2R remains a challenge.2 During CO2R, EtOH and ethylene (C2H4) emerge as the two predominate multi-carbon (C2+ products), likely...

Large electronegativity differences between adjacent atomic sites activate and stabilize ZnIn2S4 for efficient photocatalytic overall water splitting - Nature Communications
Abstract Photocatalytic overall water splitting into hydrogen and oxygen is desirable for long-term renewable, sustainable and clean fuel production on earth. Metal sulfides are considered as ideal hydrogen-evolved photocatalysts, but their component homogeneity and typical sulfur instability cause an inert oxygen production, which remains a huge obstacle to overall water-splitting.

Adjustable Trifunctional Mid-Infrared Metamaterial Absorber Based on Phase Transition Material VO2
Abstract : In this paper, we demonstrate an adjustable trifunctional absorber that can achieve the conversion of broadband, narrowband and superimposed absorption based on the phase transition material vanadium dioxide (VO2) in the mid-infrared domain. The absorber can achieve the switching of multiple absorption modes by modulating the temperature to regulate the conductivity of VO2.
Calibrating and Validating the MFI-UF Method to Measure Particulate Fouling in Reverse Osmosis
Abstract : This study aimed to calibrate and validate the MFI-UF method in order to ensure the accuracy of particulate fouling measurements in RO. Firstly, the MFI-UF calibration was examined using two solutions of standard particles (dextran and polystyrene). Two main criteria were investigated: (i) MFI-UF linearity with particle concentrations at both low and high ranges of fouling potential and (ii) the reproducibility of MFI-UF linearity.
Fluoroamide-Directed Regiodivergent C-Alkylation of Nitroalkanes
Herein, by exploiting different activation modes of fluoroamides, we achieved α- and δ-C(sp3)–H alkylation of nitroalkanes with switchable regioselectivity. Cu catalysis enabled the interception of a distal C-centered radical by a N-centered radical to couple nitroalkanes and unactivated δ-C–H bonds. In addition, imines generated in situ by fluoroamides were trapped by nitroalkanes to realize the α-C–H alkylation of amides.
Internal quantum efficiency higher than 100% achieved by combining doping and quantum effects for photocatalytic overall water splitting - Nature Energy
Abstract Multiple exciton generation (MEG), where two or more electron–hole pairs are produced from the absorption of one high-energy photon, could increase the efficiency of light absorbing devices. However, demonstrations of the effect are still scarce in photocatalytic hydrogen production. Moreover, many photocatalytic systems for overall water splitting suffer from poor charge carrier separation.
A Deep Learning-Based Unbalanced Force Identification of the Hypergravity Centrifuge

Room temperature nondestructive encapsulation via self-crosslinked fluorosilicone polymer enables damp heat-stable sustainable perovskite solar cells - Nature Communications
Abstract Encapsulation engineering is an effective strategy to improve the stability of perovskite solar cells. However, current encapsulation materials are not suitable for lead-based devices because of their complex encapsulation processes, poor thermal management, and inefficient lead leakage suppression. In this work, we design a self-crosslinked fluorosilicone polymer gel, achieving nondestructive encapsulation at room temperature.

Photoinduced loading of electron-rich Cu single atoms by moderate coordination for hydrogen evolution - Nature Communications
Abstract Single-atom catalysts offer maximal atom utilization efficiencies and high-electronegativity heteroatoms play a crucial role in coordinating reactive single metal atoms to prevent agglomeration. However, these strong coordination bonds withdraw electron density for coordinated metal atoms and consequently affect their catalytic activity.
