Abstract Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress is a key cellular mechanism that is important in the development of many diseases, including cancer. Since the discovery of the unfolded protein response (UPR), research has greatly improved our understanding of how ER stress affects cellular functions, especially protein folding and adaptation to stress.

Abstract Gemcitabine and cisplatin (GP) serve as first-line induction chemotherapy (IC) for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), yet predictive markers are lacking. Here we performed multi-omics profiling, including proteomics, phosphoproteomics, genomics and transcriptomics, on 240 patients with NPC who were receiving GP-IC or concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) alone. Through multi-omic integration, we identified three proteomic subtypes with distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Abstract Exocrine and endocrine disorders and insufficiency are two major harmful pathological processes in chronic pancreatitis (CP) and can lead to steatorrhea and diabetes. However, there is a lack of reliable clinical classification schemes for evaluating the severity of exocrine and endocrine disorders in CP, and the underlying mechanisms are also unclear. In particular, exosome-based liquid biopsy and classification in CP are lacking.
