Plant-Derived Exosome-Like Nanoparticles: Biocompatible Vectors for Efficient Treatment of Autoimmune Diseases
You are already at the latest version Autoimmune diseases (AIDs) are a group of disorders caused by immune system dysfunction, in which the immune system mistakenly recognizes and attacks normal tissues and organs of the body. However, no radical cure is available for AIDs. Plant-derived exosome-like nanoparticles (PELNs) are nanoscale membrane structures secreted by plant cells.
When Polarizers Meet Spectroscopy: Recent Advances and Prospects in Characterization of New-Generation Functional Thin Film Materials
Polarizers have been widely used in the field of liquid crystal displays for decades. In recent years, polarizing film materials based on 2D materials such as BP, TMDs and graphene have garnered attention due to their atomic-level thickness and unique optical anisotropy.

In situ synchrotron X-ray scattering reveals organic-mediated scaling mechanisms on desalination membranes
Abstract Inorganic scaling, governed by complex organic–inorganic interactions, presents a pervasive challenge in aqueous environments with broad implications for engineering systems. Using reverse-osmosis (RO) desalination as a model platform, we investigate how mixed organic foulants influence inorganic gypsum scaling at membrane–water interfaces.

Phys. Rev. C 108, 044301 (2023) - Level scheme of $^{92}\mathrm{Nb}$ and observation of an oblate collective rotational band
Abstract Excited states of Nb92 were investigated using the reactions Se82(N14,4n) and Y89(Li6,1p2n). Based on these experimental results, the level scheme was extended abundantly. The structures of both the positive and negative parity states have been compared with shell model calculations using the SNET interaction.
MXene‐Based Soft Actuators with Multiresponse and Diverse Applications by a Simple Method
3 Applications Based on the MXene/PE Bilayer Actuator The PE polymer film has a larger coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) (502.7 × 10−6 per °C at 40 °C) in the longitudinal direction (LD) and a smaller CTE (91.1 × 10−6 per °C at 40 °C) in the width direction (axis direction of roll).[50] Therefore, by utilizing the highly anisotropic thermal expansion coefficient mismatch characteristics, soft actuators with specific mechanical deformation can be realized.

Understanding the Mechanism of the Disproportionately Reduced C1-Esterase Inhibitor (C1-INH) Levels in Hereditary Angioedema (HAE)
HAE is an autosomal dominant disorder caused by defects in the SERPING1 gene. HAE patients maintain one functional wild-type SERPING1 allele, therefore at least 50% of the normal C1-INH value is expected. However, serum antigen levels of C1-INH in HAE patients are usually 5-30% of normal. We hypothesize that the type of SERPING1 mutations and their impact on C1-INH protein structure and function lead to the variable degrees of C1-INH level in HAE patients.
Insights into the pathogenesis of hereditary angioedema employing genetic sequencing and recombinant protein expression analyses
Background The pathogenesis of hereditary angioedema (HAE) type I and type II is linked to defective C1 esterase inhibitor (C1-INH) encoded by the SERPING1 gene. There are substantial variabilities in the clinical presentations of HAE patients that are not directly correlated to the serum levels of C1-INH. The impact of SERPING1 variants on C1-INH expression, structure and function is incompletely understood.
