Comparison between mono-tacrolimus and mono-prednisone in the treatment of ocular myasthenia gravis: a retrospective, observational cohort study
Abstract Objective: The use of tacrolimus (TAC) in ocular myasthenia gravis (OMG) is generally reserved for cases refractory to prednisone (PRED); however, the advantage of monotherapy with tacrolimus (mono-TAC) over monotherapy with PRED (mono-PRED) remains unknown. The present study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of mono-TAC and mono-PRED in OMG.
Soluble HER2 promotes chronic antigen-mediated CD8⁺ T-cell dysfunction and limits immunotherapy response in HER2-low triple-negative breast cancer
Abstract HER2-low triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has emerged as a clinically relevant subgroup with distinct therapeutic implications. However, the biological mechanisms underlying its heterogeneous response to immunotherapy remain poorly defined. In this manuscript, we conducted a retrospective translational analysis of patients with HER2-zero and HER2-low TNBC.
Novel therapeutic strategies for osteoarthritis: from mechanistic insights to precision medicine
Abstract Osteoarthritis (OA) is a prevalent chronic degenerative joint disease that significantly impacts the quality of life for over 500 million individuals affected. OA is increasingly recognized as a whole-joint disorder characterized by complex biochemical and cellular changes across various joint tissues. However, traditional approaches such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and corticosteroids often fall short in halting disease progression or restoring joint function.
Semaglutide ameliorates osteoarthritis progression through a weight loss-independent metabolic restoration mechanism
Keywords osteoarthritis semaglutide obesity metabolic reprogramming GLP-1R AMPK Introduction According to the World Health Organization, approximately 7% of the global population lives with osteoarthritis (OA),1 with the prevalence rising to 73% among the elderly (≥55 years).2 OA is widely recognized as a degenerative joint disease marked by the progressive breakdown of joint cartilage, leading to subchondral bone damage, persistent pain, and disability.

Innovative Design of PEI‐Modified AMO‐Layered Double Hydroxide for Efficient and Stable Direct Air Capture of CO2
1 Introduction Carbon dioxide (CO2) as the most abundant and persistent greenhouse gas (GHG), significantly contributes to global warming and disrupts the climate system.[1] In response to this critical issue, carbon capture technologies have garnered great attention.[2] Among these, Direct Air Capture (DAC) has emerged as a promising approach to reduce atmospheric CO2 concentrations.[3] Unlike conventional capture methods that focus on point-source emissions, DAC targets CO2 directly from...
Microbial Technologies Enhanced by Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare Applications
1 Introduction Throughout the history of technological advancements, biotechnologies have consistently demonstrated their usefulness, evolving from traditional practices such as fermentation for food production to recent efforts to combat diseases. Microbial technology, an essential branch of biotechnology, harnesses whole microorganisms or their cellular components, including bacteria, archaea, fungi, algae and viruses.
