UPDATE (3/3/25) — A jury trial was set for a woman charged with five counts of manslaughter after a midtown Tulsa crash with a firetruck that killed five people, including children, last year. FOX23 told you about the deadly crash that happened near 41st and Harvard in February of last year. The crash resulted in the deaths of one adult, three children, and the unborn child of a pregnant passenger.

KC superfan, ‘ChiefsAholic,’ accused of robbing several banks sentenced to 17.5 years in prison

UPDATE (9/5/24) — The Kansas City Chiefs superfan known as "ChiefsAholic", accused of robbing several banks, was sentenced Thursday morning. The United States Court Western District of Missouri said Xavier Michael Babudar was sentenced to 17.5 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. UPDATE (4/4/24) — A woman who was held at gunpoint during the robbery has been awarded more than $10 million after filing a lawsuit.

Man sentenced to life in prison by Tulsa County judge for 2017 murder of wife

TULSA, Okla. — A Tulsa County judge sentenced a man to life in prison without parole on Tuesday for murdering his wife in 2017. 32-year-old Jose Gomez-Baca previously pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and admitted to shooting and killing his wife, Elizabeth Rodriguez, on June 22, 2017. Investigators said Rodriquez was returning home with her mom and brother when Gomez-Baca ambushed her outside in the car and shot her 12 times. Her mother held her as she died, the announcement said.
