Alex Dupree Announces New Album ‘Talking to the Dog,’ & Shares ‘New Meaning’

1 Alex Dupree returns on August 14th with Talking to the Dog, his first album since 2022’s Thieves, released via Oklahoma’s Scissor Tail Records who also delivered us some excellent releases from Matt Kivel, Joseph Allred and, of course, Dylan Golden Aycock, who founded the label in 2010. Ahead of it’s August release, Dupree has today shared the opening track, New Meaning. New Meaning was the first song Dupree cut in Los Angeles, and it set the tone for the sessions.

Luluc Share video for new single ‘No One Else’s Pen’

2 Luluc, the Australian duo of Zoë Randell and Steve Hassett, have shared No One Else’s Pen, the second single from their forthcoming sixth album Sweet Thief, out 10th July on Community Music. It follows lead single Rewarding Melody, which introduced the record in April. Where that first track folded its dryness inside a love song, No One Else’s Pen leans fully into devotion, then sets it against the noise of everything else.

Lambchop share new track ‘Stella’ from forthcoming album ‘Punching The Clown’

1 Lambchop have shared Stella, the second track lifted from Punching The Clown, their new album due 21st August 2026 via City Slang. It follows lead single Weakened and the album’s announcement last month. Where Weakened arrived with a certain grandeur, Stella settles into lush minimalism. Guitar and banjo intertwine beneath an omnipresent choir that drifts through much of the record, the arrangement pared back to the banjo-voice-choir framework Kurt Wagner built the album around.
