(WKYT) - Parts of Lexington and the northern portion of Jessamine County experienced flash flooding, with officials warning residents to remain prepared as another flash flood threat looms. The Lowis Lane and Ethel Drive areas off Tates Creek Road in Jessamine County are low-lying and flood quickly when heavy rain falls in a short period of time, according to emergency management officials.

Lexington infant death sentencing postponed after defendant not transported to court

(WKYT) - A sentencing hearing for a Lexington man in connection to the death of his infant son was postponed Tuesday after the defendant was not transported from jail to Fayette Circuit Court. Amancio Torres-Trevino Jr. was scheduled for sentencing at 9 a.m. in connection with the 2024 death of his 3-month-old son, Greyson Torres. Torres-Trevino pleaded guilty to murder and criminal abuse in the case.
