Best Advice: This Poem Tells You Everything You Need to Live
This post is part of a series in which LinkedIn Influencers share the best advice they've ever received. Read all the posts here. The best advice I’ve ever received, or should I say read, was a simple poem. Its profound principles subliminally shaped and defined my core and have guided me throughout my life. No different to most teens growing up, I got bored. So I’d spend hours in my father’s office, watching, learning as he shared what he was working on.
Another Exciting Chapter
Over the past few years at Apple Retail, we've been working to amplify our positive impact, and these last twelve months have been especially rewarding as our full vision has now come together. My Father's Voice
This Father's Day, I am so happy to honor my Dad by sharing his simple words of wisdom with the world. Words that from a very young age taught me, shaped me, and still guide me every day in my work and family life. Of course, these are not all his words, but rather quotes he loves, borrowed, and reimagined for whatever life stage or situation we were in.
Why Apple's new in-store experience aims to fuel creativity in everyone
I'm humbled to be considered an "influencer" by the LinkedIn community. Though, truthfully, I consider myself more perpetual student than expert (evidenced by my ever-growing pile of reading material). I look to the many thinkers, leaders, and culture-makers who've crossed my path in life and work for inspiration, and they feed my curiosity and reinforce my ideas. And of course I continue to be blessed by the sustaining influences in my life- my parents, husband, kids and friends.

Burberry’s CEO on Turning an Aging British Icon into a Global Luxury Brand
Ahrendts realized that if Burberry was going to be a great, pure, global luxury brand, it needed to have one design director—a “brand czar”—and it needed to capitalize on its historical core: the trench coat. The company decided to innovate at the core to attract the luxury customers of the future: millennials.

Why I Believe Energy Can Transform Companies and Communities
My greatest challenge and I'm sure it's the same for many leaders today, is to continue to rapidly evolve Burberry to keep pace with as fast as the consumer and technology are changing. Regardless of this market dynamic, one thing has stayed the same: The Power of Human Energy I've been a leader in the fashion industry for over 60% of my life - and from a big family and small mid-western town, 100% of my life.
