SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls man admits to shooting at two Sioux Falls police officers in July of last year. Police were looking for Deondre Black Hawk in the area of West 10th Street and South Garfield Avenue on July 7, 2025. He was wanted on three felony warrants and was also a suspect in a shooting that left a woman in critical condition. When authorities approached Black Hawk, he raised a gun and fired it in the direction of the officers.

Former SD Superintendent admits to stealing more than $755K Original

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A longtime leader at a western South Dakota school admits to stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Gloria Kitsopoulos was the superintendent and principal at the American Horse School in Allen, South Dakota. She has signed federal court documents admitting to taking more than $755,000 between 2016 and 2020. Kitsopoulos plans to plead guilty to theft of Government property. In exchange for that plea, other federal charges will be dismissed.
