QUINCY (WGEM) - The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to provide detailed information when calling 911 about fireworks complaints this Fourth of July weekend. Deputy Anthony Grootens said the department receives a high number of calls during the holiday, making it difficult to respond to everyone. “Our guys are generally so busy just running from call to call,” Grootens said. “It wouldn’t be unusual to get 30 or 40 calls in an eight-hour period.

QUINCY (WGEM) - A Liberty native who survived a severe UTV crash that killed his high school sweetheart is now warning others about the dangers of all-terrain vehicles and utility vehicles. Cannen Wolf said the crash on Oct. 4, 2020, changed his life forever. He recalled the moment before the accident when his buddy told him to accelerate. “The gentleman with us – he ended up saying, ‘Punch it.’ Ultimately, we ended up punching it, and we lost control,” Wolf said.
