Aging-associated SATB1 deficiency remodels 3D genome architecture and transcriptional programs in naive CD4 + T cells
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share This article has 0 eLetter . Abstract Precise three-dimensional (3D) genome organization is crucial for regulating gene expression during development, yet its role in age-related transcriptional changes and physiological decline remains elusive.
Drone-delivered automated external defibrillators in prehospital emergency care: implementation evidence, bottlenecks, and conceptual integration with artificial intelligence and next-generation communications
Abstract Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) remains a major global health challenge. Survival depends on immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation and early defibrillation. Static public-access defibrillator programs often fail to reach private, rural, or otherwise underserved locations. Drone-delivered automated external defibrillators (AEDs) may overcome ground-traffic and geographic barriers, but rapid delivery does not always lead to timely treatment.
Opposite Trends in Glass Transition and Vogel Temperatures in Long-Chain Branched Poly( l -Lactic Acid)
1 Introduction Poly(l-lactic acid) (PLLA) is a polymer widely used in 3D printing and other applications [1-5]. Due to the low crystallization rate and the cooling rates during 3D printing, printed PLLA parts are often in the amorphous state when the temperature of the printing bed/plate is lower than 333 K [6-8].
Effects of Moist Wound Healing Strategy on Healing Time of Burn Wound Donor Sites and Patients’ Depression/Anxiety Symptoms
Introduction Burn injuries pose significant challenges to both patients and healthcare providers, necessitating advanced wound management strategies to optimize healing outcomes.1,2 Among the critical aspects of burn care is the management of donor sites used for skin grafts, which are essential for covering large burn areas but can themselves become problematic wounds if not properly managed.3,4 Traditional dry care (TDC) methods, such as the use of infrared lamp irradiation, have been...

Memory Effect in Flow-Induced Heterogeneous Isotactic Polypropylene Melts
Introduction Click to copy section linkSection link copied! The mechanism of flow-induced crystallization has attracted much attention for its potential to tackle both fundamental problems in polymer physics and technological problems in polymer processing. Due to the soft nature of macromolecules, chain conformation and topological entanglement can be easily perturbed under low stress levels associated with melt flow.

Detecting extragalactic axion-like dark matter with polarization measurements of fast radio bursts - Communications Physics
Abstract Axions or axion-like particles (ALPs) are one of the promising dark matter (DM) candidates. A prevalent method to detect axion-like DM is to seek periodic oscillation in the polarization angles (PAs) of linearly polarized light emitted from astrophysical sources.

A Master-Slave Game-Based Strategy for Trading and Allocation of Virtual Power Plants in the Electricity Spot Market
1. Introduction In the face of the increasingly severe climate crisis and energy security challenges, actively promoting the construction of a new type of power system provides important support for realizing the goal of “peak CO2 emissions”. With the transformation of the energy structure, the uncertainty in the output of numerous widely distributed, small-scale renewable energy sources connected to the grid will exacerbate the operational security of the power system.

Efficient Sensitization of Rare-Earth-Free Mn4+-Activated Antimonate Phosphor: Enabling Intense Far-Red Emission for Agricultural Lighting The employment of red phosphors is an essential component in the fabrication of LEDs tailored for plant illumination with red light, as they serve as a cornerstone in their construction and functionality. In this work, a Mn4+-activated antimonate phosphor exhibiting far-red emission has been developed.
SATB1 prevents immune cell infiltration by regulating chromatin organization and gene expression of a chemokine gene cluster in T cells - Communications Biology
Abstract SATB1, a key regulator of T cell development, governs lineage-specific transcriptional programs upon T cell activation. The absence of SATB1 has been linked to the initiation and progression of autoimmunity. However, its precise roles in this process remain incompletely understood. Here we show that conditional knockout of Satb1 in CD4+ T cells in mice led to T cell hyperactivation and inflammatory cell infiltration across multiple organs.

Radiologic grading scores enhance clinical model's prognostic ability for Guillain-Barré syndrome
Introduction Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS) is a group of autoimmune diseases that involve peripheral nerves, with an incidence rate of approximately 0.81–1.89 per 100,000 person-years.1, 2 The hallmark feature of GBS is progressive (ascending) limb weakness accompanied by reduced or absent reflexes.3 Proven effective treatments for GBS include intravenous immunoglobulin and plasma exchange.4 Although the overall prognosis for GBS is positive, some patients may succumb to the disease or...

Machine learning-based revelation of GABBR1 and IQGAP2 as candidate biomarkers of pulmonary arterial hypertension and their correlation with immune infiltration
Abstract Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a pulmonary vascular disease with complex pathogenesis, and its intrinsic molecular mechanisms remain unclear. The aim of this study was to screen gene expression data from PAH patients, identify possible diagnostic indicators of PAH and to investigate the role of immune cell infiltration in the progression of PAH. This study made use of the gene expression dataset of PAH patients from the GEO database.

The observed mode dependent controller design problem for a class of continuous‐time hidden semi‐Markov jump systems
Summary This paper studies the stability analysis and stabilization synthesis problems for a class of continuous-time jump systems with hidden system modes. To precisely model the switching signals of the considered systems, a novel definition of continuous-time hidden semi-Markov process is proposed based on the notions of emission probability and time varying dual-index transition rate.

Monodisperse drops templated by 3D-structured microparticles
Abstract The ability to create uniform subnanoliter compartments using microfluidic control has enabled new approaches for analysis of single cells and molecules. However, specialized instruments or expertise has been required, slowing the adoption of these cutting-edge applications. Here, we show that three dimensional–structured microparticles with sculpted surface chemistries template uniformly sized aqueous drops when simply mixed with two immiscible fluid phases.
