WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WSAW) - The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters played spoiler in a big way on Monday night. Rapids beat Wausau 2-1, helping knock Wausau out of contention for a first half title and a playoff spot. Entering the night, Wausau needed just a win over the Rafters to clinch the division title and a playoff berth. While the Chucks scored first in the first on a Chase Ryan sacrifice, the Rafters shut them down from there.

Woodchucks roll, Rafters rebound in Friday Northwoods League action

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - The Wausau Woodchucks and the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters both picked up wins Friday in Northwoods League action. Woodchucks 15, Dock Spiders 3 The Woodchucks defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 15-3, moving four games away from clinching a playoff spot ahead of the All-Star break. Wausau leads the Great Lakes West Division. Wausau trailed 2-0 before Dylan LaPointe hit a two-run home run to tie the game.
