Beefy Mushroom Barley Soup
This soup was so delicious and so easy. I made a few changes to the recipe. Before I browned the meat I sprinkled it with paprika, montreal seasoning and salt and pepper. After I browned the beef cubes in oil I simmered it for about an hour in a cup of water and a 1/2 cup of red wine (I used cab. sav). I sauteed all the veggies in butter, except the mushrooms which I added after the broth, then added the meat, three cans of beef broth (about 6 cups) and barley.

What I remember most
I remember shooting with friends, shooting with new people. Shooting at different clubs. Having a good time at shoots, shooting and hanging around. I remember my scores, both good and not so good. The one thing I remember most, that one target out of 100 that just sailed away unhindered by my shot. It takes about a week to stop picturing that clay fly away. But I'll always remember friends and the times on the range. #1 · I remember shooting with friends, shooting with new people.

Al Horford shares excitement for Celtics raising Banner 18 on Opening Night
BOSTON — Last year is over, but the legacy the Boston Celtics created will stand forever. And on Opening Night, they will lift their legacy into the rafters of TD Garden as they hand Banner 18 next to the 17 others. Their game against the New York Knicks will be the subplot of the evening rather than the main event. The Celtics rolled their way through the postseason last spring, capping off a dominant regular season with an even more impressive playoff run.
Al Horford shares thoughts on his conditioning after Celtics preseason debut
After sitting out of the Boston Celtics’ first four preseason, Al Horford finally got some run on Tuesday. He played 23:08 against the Toronto Raptors in what ended in a 119-118 loss for Boston. Unfortunately, the rust was clear as day for the 38-year-old, as he didn’t look like his usual self. Horford’s shot wasn’t falling all night, as he ended the evening shooting 1-of-6 from the floor and 0-of-4 from beyond the three-point arc.
Here's why Al Horford didn’t play in preseason games vs. Nuggets
The Boston Celtics just wrapped up their two-game slate of games in Abu Dhabi. Both contests were against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets, pitting the last two NBA Champions against each other. Boston rolled out their usual starting lineup for both games, minus one key piece—Al Horford. Obviously, Kristaps Porzingis didn’t play either, but he’s not expected to be back on the court until December. Horford was a healthy scratch in both of the games, and Luke Kornet got the start in his place.

Blossom and Bloom On the Community Forum 1st May 2024
We had Vicky, Charity Founder and Jo, Well-being Hub Co-ordinator join us in the Studio today to tell us a little about their charity & how to access it. The charity was originally set up during Covid in 2020 in a Bed & Breakfast initially helping 3 Mums. It was apparent that more Mums needed help and guidance and therefore the Charity moved into The White Rose Centre in Rhyl where they opened their Wellbeing Hub.
For the first time in years
I got the parts and pieces back together and loaded metallic cartridges again. 83 38specials and 50 45 acp. The reason only 83 38s was because I ran out of the 158 grain semi-wadcutters I always use. I didn't have time to do more than an amazing "exactly" 300 newly cast 158 grain semi-wadcutters. But I am ready for the next go round! I don't know if it was just the many memories, living those memories again, but I could almost see daddy looking over my shoulder, smiling. Al
Can you identify a distinctive release trigger sticker?
#1 · I realize this is a longshot, but I'm looking at a gun with a release trigger and the seller doesn't know who did the work. The warning sticker is a little bit distinctive, at least it's not the type I normally see. I'm wondering if anyone might recognize it as being the work of a particular gunsmith. Like I said, a longshot. Thanks for any help. See less See more Sort by #2 · Those stickers are available online most places where you can get the orange R stickers. There’s some on eBay right now.

Inexpensive shotshell loading block
Wanted to share something I made years ago and has come in quite handy. I took a couple of 98 cent plastic (May cost more now) cutting board from Walmart. The first thing I did was stack them and drill four holes in the corners. I took one and drilled 25 evenly spaced, holes 7/8’s inch in dia. Then I bolted the boards together with spacers in between the boards.
WYNN - Country Music Memory Lane - Big Al Downing
Big Al Downing was a very talented artist, and a very interesting story that is little known, but should be. Here's a guy that played venues all over the world for decades, in front of millions of people, and never had any real charting success. I remember playing BAD at my first station or two, and I remember seeing him on TV on tons of shows. But what an incredible career he had.
Marked up shotgun forends
#1 · I recently acquired a nice 870TC made in 1972 and when I looked at the forend I laughed out loud. Then I thought "how many trapshooters anymore recognize this mark?" While I do not consider myself an old timer, maybe I am as I have been around the sport for 50 years now. Many will recognize this mark, but I am sure that some will not believe what we did to guns those many years ago. Stealth Plate Pro
#1 · Anyone have tried this kinda invisible buttpad adjustment from Dawson's? Looks pretty neat and don't add to the LOP. It is recessed into the stock and butpat some. So it could be a hassle as you would need to have replaceme pads routered out also. I would also be consered about chipping the rear of the stock, typically with other adjusters there would be an aluminum plate covering the end of the stock which protects it too. Sort by #2 · Karl McKnight At Tucson Trap has one on display.
Moser Leader Evolution - Which Tubing?
Hi, I have just bought a Moser Leader Evolution and I wanted to see if anyone knew what tubing it could be. Unlike my other Moser (Leader AX) there is no sticker to indicate however there is a 1996 Olympics badge at the top of the seat tube so I guess the frame is therefore 1996+. The timeline would indicate Deda Zero however upon examination all of the tube shapes are exactly like my 1992 Moser Leader AX which is Oria Cromovan. The weight of the frame and forks are 1953 and 658 grams respectively.

Why I say .........
Check your top lever stop with the barrels off. Because waiting fro the top lever to reach or go past Dead center may never happen! Because of the way the action or block was made will not let it even get to center. Prepping to blue I saw that this top lever will never reach dead center or 6 oclock. The only parts in my hand are the frame and top lever. That is why KNOWING your shotgun and not just hearing "it isn't at 6 oclock or dead center," can get you in trouble.
These are the Newcastle United fans who deserved Carabao Cup Final tickets
Carabao Cup Final tickets have brought me here. A very long time reader of The Mag but the first time I have dipped my black and white toe in the water and sent something in. Hopefully it makes the cut and you are now reading this. As I say, it is Carabao Cup Final tickets that have brought me here, prompted me to write something, as I have read literally hundreds of opinions now on which Newcastle United fans deserved Carabao Cup Final tickets. Both here on The Mag and elsewhere.

Is the AFL serious about concussion?
Concussion has now become a major talking point in AFL circles, and rightly so. The medium and long term effects, whilst not fully understood, can have a major impact on the livelihoods and wellbeing of current and past players and by extension, their families, long into retirement.

Cool Project
#1 This is not my project. I saw it on the streets and had to take a picture. This is one cool project. I would say he has $20k just in aluminum in this boat. Somebody is very talented and is going to have a great fishing boat when done. I wonder how maney empty coors cans it takes to build this guy. Big Al #2 That looks like Neils boat??? I think??? #3 where was the boat located? #4 I didn't want to say, in case some a$$hole got the wise idea to hook it up some night.
