Water Is Not Universally Promotional: Size-Dependent Inversion of Water Effects in Methanol Steam Reforming
1 Introduction Water is ubiquitous in heterogeneous catalysis, yet its effects remain remarkably system-dependent [1-3]. In reactions such as CO oxidation [4-7], CO2 hydrogenation [8, 9], and steam reforming [10-13], water has been reported to exert either promotional or inhibitory effects, often with only subtle changes in catalyst composition or reaction conditions.
Water Is Not Universally Promotional: Size-Dependent Inversion of Water Effects in Methanol Steam Reforming
Water is widely assumed to be universally promotional in methanol steam reforming. Here, we show that this assumption fails when metal nuclearity and support hydroxyl chemistry are considered. Using a well-defined set of Pt single-atom and nanoparticle catalysts supported on hydroxyl-rich CeO2 and hydroxyl-poor Al2O3, we uncover a striking, size-dependent inversion of water effects.

The DNA damage-independent ATM signalling maintains CBP/DOT1L axis in MLL rearranged acute myeloid leukaemia - Oncogene
Abstract The long-term maintenance of leukaemia stem cells (LSCs) is responsible for the high degree of malignancy in MLL (mixed-lineage leukaemia) rearranged acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). The DNA damage response (DDR) and DOT1L/H3K79me pathways are required to maintain LSCs in MLLr-AML, but little is known about their interplay. This study revealed that the DDR enzyme ATM regulates the maintenance of LSCs in MLLr-AML with a sequential protein-posttranslational-modification manner via CBP-DOT1L.

Imaging spectroscopy reveals topographic variability effects on grassland functional traits and drought responses
Abstract Functional traits and their variations are essential indicators of plant metabolism, growth, distribution, and survival and determine how a plant and an ecosystem function. Under the same climatic condition, traits can vary largely between species and within the same species growing in different topographic conditions. When drought stress occurs, plants that grow in these conditions may respond differently as their topography-driven tolerance and adaptability differ.

Microstructure evolution and recrystallization of Ti6246 alloy in hot‐rolling and annealing processes
In this study, the Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-6Mo (Ti6246) casted alloy was treated with two different hot rolling processes (3-pass and 5-pass), and the as-rolled alloy was subsequently annealed at different temperatures (780 and 850 °C). During hot rolling, obvious changes in the morphology and microstructure of the Ti6246 alloy occurred. A large number of dislocations were generated in the rolling process, and their movement plays an important role in the microstructure evolution of the alloy.
