Vibration amplification mechanism and theoretical mitigation strategy for feedwater flow meter brackets in nuclear power plants
Abstract Excessive low-frequency vibration can impair the reliability of safety-class instruments in nuclear power plants. This study investigates vibration amplification in a feedwater flow meter bracket mounted on a steel grating platform in Unit 4. Field tests showed that the 10–50 Hz band contributed more than 56.1% of the mean-square acceleration at the transmitter and valve-group panels. An equivalent cantilever-beam model and a single-degree-of-freedom isolation model guided the retrofit.
Hormone receptor status switch and metastatic central nervous system tropism during breast cancer progression to leptomeningeal disease
Abstract Compared to hormone receptor (HR)-positive breast cancers, triple-negative and HER2+ subtypes demonstrate greater prevalence of central nervous system (CNS) metastasis, including its most aggressive form, leptomeningeal disease (LMD). In LMD, cancer cells infiltrate the leptomeninges of the brain and spine, resulting in rapid progression, with dismal prognosis and lack of effective treatment.

Nonvolatile ferroelectric switching of room-temperature bipolar magnetic semiconductors for energy-efficient spintronics - Communications Physics
Abstract Room-temperature magnetic semiconductors are crucial for next-generation spintronics, yet remain hindered by low Curie temperatures and volatile control mechanisms. Using density functional theory, we report Cr2NiSe4, a bipolar magnetic semiconductor (BMS) formed by Ni intercalation in bilayer CrSe2, with a Curie temperature of 495 K and a 0.40 eV band gap.
