PET imaging enables direct evaluation of ferroptosis in HCC synergistically induced by anti-PD-L1 and Olaparib
Abstract The efficacy of PET image-guided immune checkpoint inhibitor-based therapy in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) management is limited by the lack of direct monitoring of therapeutic response. A key challenge is the mismatch between the therapeutic pathway and the imaging target, which hinders the accurate assessment of treatment outcomes.
Biodegradability assessment of chemically washed oily sludge using indigenous bacterial isolates
Abstract Chemical hot washing can substantially reduce the petroleum content of oily sludge, but residual petroleum hydrocarbons remain and require further treatment. Whether these residual hydrocarbons retain sufficient biodegradability for subsequent biological treatment, and what characteristics of the residual hydrocarbons and indigenous microorganisms are associated with their biodegradability, remain insufficiently understood.
High-frequency observations of the variations of p CO2 in the Bohai Sea
Abstract The Bohai Sea, a semi-enclosed marginal sea under intense anthropogenic pressure, represents a critical yet dynamic component of the regional carbon cycle. However, understanding its fine-scale carbon dynamics has been limited by a lack of long-term, high-frequency observations.
The IGF2BP3/circDock1/TCF21 axis relieves chronic cerebral ischemic injury by regulating neuronal ferroptosis
Abstract Ferroptosis, a form of cell death driven by iron and lipid damage, exacerbates brain injury during chronic cerebral ischemia. However, its precise regulatory mechanisms remain poorly understood. Here we show that the RNA-binding protein IGF2BP3 suppresses neuronal ferroptosis in mouse models of cerebral ischemia through a specific IGF2BP3/circRNA Dock1/TCF21 signaling axis. Mechanistically, IGF2BP3 binds to Alu elements of the Dock1 gene, promoting its reverse splicing into circRNA Dock1.

Omentin-1 and cardiovascular disease: a comprehensive review from molecular mechanisms to clinical translation
Abstract Omentin-1 is an adipokine predominantly secreted by visceral adipose tissue (VAT) and is abundant in human plasma. Circulating omentin-1 levels are significantly reduced in patients with obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), hypertension, and coronary artery disease (CAD). However, the associations between circulating omentin-1 levels and cardiovascular risk and prognosis appear heterogeneous across populations and disease stages.

Case Report: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma masquerading as a giant hepatic cyst
Abstract Even asymptomatic giant hepatic cysts may harbor malignancy. Intraductal papillary carcinoma (IPC) of the liver, a histologic subtype of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC), is relatively uncommon among primary hepatic malignancies. The coexistence of ICC with hepatic cysts is exceedingly rare and often leads to misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis. This case report describes a patient in whom both ICC and a giant hepatic cyst were identified during a routine physical examination.
