Persona’s Sentinel helps you assess risk at every moment
You've built rigorous identity verification flows. You're running liveness detection, document checks, and behavioral analysis. And when users make it through, you rightfully clear them as trusted. But when users aren’t in a verification flow, you lose insight into the device, network, and behavioral signals that could flag a major risk. Sentinel extends passive signal collection to any moment in the user's life cycle.
Introducing Atlas: a global age regulation tracker

Results To visualize ERMCSs in living cells, we generated eleven isogenic cell lines expressing a doxycycline-inducible split-GFP-based ERMCS reporter (SPLICS) together with a mitochondrial matrix red fluorescent protein reporter (mitoTagRFP)14,15,16,17,18 (Figure 1A). Selected clones exhibited inducible and reversible GFP fluorescence with stable RFP expression. Reporter induction did not affect cell growth, oxygen consumption, or extracellular acidification (Figures S1A–S1C).

Create a ROPA with Transcend in Only Days
As patchwork data privacy laws become increasingly complex and enforcement continues to ramp up, it’s critical that businesses maintain transparency in how they handle personal data. Creating and maintaining Record of Processing Activities (ROPA), a requirement of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 30, and helpful for understanding how data is sold or shared for the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), is one way regulators enforce this move towards data use transparency.
Mitochondria-organelle crosstalk in establishing compartmentalized metabolic homeostasis
Keywords mitochondria endoplasmic reticulum inter-organellar communication organelle membrane contact sites organellar metabolism Introduction The complexity of cellular metabolism extends far beyond the simplified linear metabolic pathways found in textbooks.1 Rather metabolism operates in many more dimensions, being impacted by spatiotemporal compartmentalization and regulation.2 Organelles are the primary mediators of these processes, enabling precise biochemical control, while also...
IDC Spotlight: Unlocking the Value of Data Through Consent & Preference Management
Changes in regulations and technology have created new challenges for companies trying to accurately manage consent and preferences. Different departments often use separate systems to handle customer data, each with its own way of collecting consumer consent and preferences. This makes it challenging to reach a complete, compliant view of user data—often requiring time-consuming and bespoke engineering work—that can impact business growth.

H2S remodels mitochondrial ultrastructure and destabilizes respiratory supercomplexes
Abstract Mitochondrial form and function are intimately interconnected, responding to cellular stresses and changes in energy demand. Hydrogen sulfide, a product of amino acid metabolism, has dual roles as an electron transport chain substrate and complex IV (CIV) inhibitor, leading to a reductive shift, which has pleiotropic metabolic consequences.
Retrotransposons are co-opted to activate hematopoietic stem cells and erythropoiesis
Abstract Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and erythropoiesis are activated during pregnancy and after bleeding by the derepression of retrotransposons, including endogenous retroviruses and LINE elements. Retrotransposon transcription activates the innate immune sensors cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS) and stimulator of interferon (IFN) genes (STING), which induce IFN and IFN-regulated genes in HSCs, increasing HSC division and erythropoiesis.

Therapeutic targeting of differentiation-state dependent metabolic vulnerabilities in diffuse midline glioma - Nature Communications
Abstract H3K27M diffuse midline gliomas (DMG), including diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas (DIPG), exhibit cellular heterogeneity comprising less-differentiated oligodendrocyte precursors (OPC)-like stem cells and more differentiated astrocyte (AC)-like cells. Here, we establish in vitro models that recapitulate DMG-OPC-like and AC-like phenotypes and perform transcriptomics, metabolomics, and bioenergetic profiling to identify metabolic programs in the different cellular states.
Team-by-Team: The Benefits of Automating Compliant Customer Outreach
Maintaining a strong data privacy and compliance stance is critical for companies wishing to build consumer trust. In fact, 62% of executives surveyed by KPMG believe their organization should be doing more to strengthen their data protection program. The problem is that privacy compliance is often seen as secondary, or even an impediment, to meeting business goals.
Preference Management Simplifies Communication Personalization to Enable Business Innovation
To compete in today’s global economy, businesses have to fight for consumers’ attention—finding strategic ways to break through the digital noise. One way to do this is by creating a robust outreach strategy to educate prospective customers about your services or goods. Understanding users’ interests and preferences is the first step in creating this strategy, giving businesses the insight they need to send users offers and information that are relevant and compelling.
How Preference Management Builds Customer Trust While Maximizing Compliant Customer Outreach
Bombarding users with communications that they didn’t agree to or not providing an option to specify what types of information they may be interested in, and at what frequency, can seriously damage brand perception. That’s why a preference management solution that can accurately unify preferences across all your customer touchpoints and synchronize those end-user choices across all your systems is crucial for building customer trust, leading to retention.
Improve your operational efficiency with Transcend Preference Management
Many of the companies we talk with find efficient management of customer permissions and preferences across multiple systems to be a challenge. Without streamlined solutions that consolidate those permissions and preferences, efforts to personalize user communications are overly complex and time-consuming, making it harder to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty. Personalization and compliant user outreach is critical to business success.
How to Minimize Data Mapping Resource Consumption Costs
Whether you’re generating a ROPA report, conducting a data protection impact assessment (DPIA), or fulfilling data subject access requests (DSR), most, if not all, privacy workflows depend on having a clear and accurate understanding of where personal data lives across your data ecosystem. With data visibility’s critical importance in mind, many privacy vendors offer data mapping features or tools. But not all data mapping solutions are created equal.
Rob Pereyda: 11 Startup Founders I've Met Who Are Shaking Up the Anime Industry
These are exciting times of growth for anime. With the market increasing in size by 6.8% in 2022, I'm both professionally and personally looking forward to seeing just how big anime will become globally over the next ten years. Concurrent with this growth are massive societal evolutions in how media is consumed, distributed, and monetized, powered by new technologies big and small (and sometimes even controversial). Where we are now reminds me of the anime industry in 2008.
Feature Spotlight: Pull compliance reports in seconds with Automated ROPA Reports
With manual workflows and legacy tools, creating recording of processing activities (ROPA) reports – a requirement of GDPR Article 30 – can take days or even weeks to pull together. What starts as a conversation with your IT team about the different tools you’re using quickly devolves into a sprawling quest that involves sending out numerous internal surveys, chasing down incomplete data, and then even more surveys to understand the thousands of data points collectively stored in your tools.

BRD4-mediated epigenetic regulation of endoplasmic reticulum-mitochondria contact sites is governed by the mitochondrial complex III
Abstract Inter-organellar communication is critical for cellular metabolic homeostasis. One of the most abundant inter-organellar interactions are those at the endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria contact sites (ERMCS). However, a detailed understanding of the mechanisms governing ERMCS regulation and their roles in cellular metabolism are limited by a lack of tools that permit temporal induction and reversal.
Rice in talks to settle financial aid ‘cartel’ lawsuit for $33 million
Rice has set aside $33.75 million to settle a class-action antitrust lawsuit filed against 17 elite universities, according to Rice’s financial statement for last year. The settlement amount would be the highest so far in the case, which the plaintiffs colloquially call the “568 Cartel Lawsuit.” The plaintiffs allege that shared financial aid methodologies among the 17 universities resulted in price-fixing and unfairly limited aid to students, breaking federal antitrust laws.
