Growing up just outside of Kansas City, Missouri, Caitlin is no stranger to severe weather and dramatic temperature changes. Her earliest weather memory came at the age of 4 when a tornado warning forced her family outside into the storm cellar. Though no damage came from the warning, that memory sparked a fascination and passion for weather and to learn what caused such severe weather.
