Fantasy Baseball Player Spotlight: Ha-Seong Kim And His Fantasy Baseball Outlook
The 2022 fantasy baseball season experienced a bit of a tremor during spring training with the news that Fernando Tatis Jr. would miss time with a broken wrist. Fantasy baseball rankings had to be adjusted and managers started scouring MLB depth charts for fantasy baseball sleepers and breakouts from within the San Diego Padres organization and across every other team as well. The reality remains that we’re still at least a month away from Tatis returning to action.
MLB Streaks & Trends: Taylor Ward Is On Fire

MLB Injury Report April 25: Eloy Jiménez Strains Hamstring
The injuries just keep on coming, and unfortunately for fans on the South side of Chicago, they have found the White Sox again. My injury report from Friday was led by Luis Robert, who appears to have avoided major injury, but you’ll find Chicago leads it off again on Monday and the news is much worse.

2022 Fantasy Baseball Draft Guide: Relief Pitchers with Paths to Becoming Closers
As expected, there have been a flurry of trades and free-agent signings in the first several days since the players and owners signed a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Baseball general managers will probably keep on wheeling and dealing right up until Opening Day, too. Between unexpected injuries and the last-minute transactions that’ll likely take place over the next couple of weeks, you’re going to want to schedule your fantasy baseball league’s draft as late in the preseason as possible.

Two-Start Pitchers/Streaming Starters: It Takes Yu
Published: May 16, 2021 Another week with a significant number of top-notch upper tier choices to insert for a pair of starts, while the middle tier contains an additional dozen options to pick from in Week 8. There are not so many arms to avoid in the bottom group, and a couple atop that set of hurlers that were undoubtedly drafted with higher expectations than have been received by their fantasy owners.
MLB Prospect Report: The Next Arms to Get the Call
Published: Apr 22, 2021 Just about into the third full week of the MLB season, one thing has been quite clear, well aside from a lot of early injuries, that pitching depth isn’t what we’ve seen in the past. There are a few teams that have very deep pitching staffs, but the rest are seemingly up in the air on a nearly daily basis and there are far more bullpen games and tandem pitching days than there were even in 2019.

2021 MLB Draft Guide: Catchers

KBO Round Up: June 17
In a league with weak bullpens, games often turn on a dime in the KBO. Wednesday took its cue from this premise with an extra-inning contest in SK with the KT Wiz winning in the 10th inning. Kiwoom rallied late against the Lotte bullpen staying in fourth place in the standings and the NC Dinos rallied against Kia’s bullpen only to give the lead up in the bottom of the seventh leading to their second straight loss.
2020 MLB Draft Guide: Closers -- Investing vs Chasing Saves
Published: Feb 10, 2020 No category in fantasy baseball flushes precious free agent budgets, or busts waiver priorities than trying to get the next closer. For the first time in recent memory, closer costs seem to be in decline while perusing average draft positions. So the age old question of when to target a closer will provide options. In fact, for those who like to zig when the market zags, getting two top tier closers in 2020 could be a way to differentiate in drafts or auctions.

Fantasy Baseball Category Analysis: Week 21
No, this isn’t one of those turn-back-the-clock night promotions that teams do every year. There are a lot of names of former fantasy glory who are making differences again down the stretch for fantasy managers. But yet, we are reluctant to buy in. Below, you’ll see names like Kyle Seager, Mark Melancon, Marwin Gonzalez, and Nick Ahmed. You can add in someone like Jason Kipnis, too, but we are just waiting for the hot production to come to an end.
Fantasy Baseball Bullpen Report: July 25
Published: Jul 25, 2019 The trade market has been completely dead. Just about every team is still in contention for the Wild Card, especially in the National League, and that has probably chilled the market. That being said, there should still be some trades between now and the trade deadline, and many of them will likely involve relievers.

Fantasy Baseball Bullpen Report: September 20
Each week I will breakdown closers and middle relievers in many different ways to provide you with all the information you need to have a successful fantasy bullpen. *Top 10 *Note: I track blown saves that happened by guys who were brought into finish the game. Such as guys in the closer role, or other pitchers who were brought in late in the game. A guy who picks up a “blown save,” for example, in the 6th inning is very irrelevant in my opinion, when tracking fantasy assets.

2018 Fantasy Baseball Waiver Advice: April 14
10-team leagues Vince Velásquez , PHI SP (13% ownership), FAAB Bid - $14 - It’s easy to see the jury was out way too early on Velasquez after making just one start. He’s had back-to-back outings allowing just one run while striking out 13 opponents in 12.1 innings pitched. Velasquez is a high strikeout upside pitcher who are the guys we want to attack, especially in smaller leagues with limited space for waiver wire pickups that don’t pan out.
