CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati’s biggest running weekend of the year is here. The Flying Pig Marathon is held annually each May and goes through Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. About 45,000 people across all 10 starting lines representing all 50 states and 30 countries are expected to compete in this year’s event. All the festivities and races start Friday and run, literally, through Sunday. The Flying Pig Marathon opening ceremonies will begin at 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

I-75 South closes this weekend: What you need to know

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A major stretch of southbound Interstate 75 will close this weekend as part of demolition work for the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project. Starting at 11 p.m. Friday, all southbound lanes will close between Freeman Avenue and the Ninth Street Viaduct and will not reopen until 5 a.m. Monday. The Freeman Avenue exit will remain open all weekend. The Ohio Department of Transportation is urging drivers, especially trucks, to detour east on the Norwood Lateral to southbound I-71.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A major stretch of Interstate 75 South will close this weekend as part of demolition work for the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project. Starting at 11 p.m. Friday, I-75 South will close between Freeman Avenue and the 9th Street Viaduct and will not reopen until 5 a.m. Monday. Crews are demolishing the last half of the Linn Street overpass. They took out the first half last weekend. “This weekend, the contractors will return to take out the remaining parts of that structure.
