Man pleads guilty to 2019 sexual assault of child

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a child. The trial for Steve Serrato IV, 35, was set to begin on Tuesday. However, he submitted a guilty plea to Lubbock County Judge William R Eichman II in the 364th District Court. According to court documents, Serrato abused a child younger than 17 years old in May 2019. He pleaded guilty to a second degree felony sexual assault of a child.

Report: Man admits to sexual assault of 15-year-old Littlefield girl Original

LITTLEFIELD Texas (KCBD) - An FBI investigation has led to the federal indictment of a man accused of sexually abusing a Littlefield teen. On July 12, officers received a call regarding the sexual assault of a 15-year-old and responded to the girl’s home in Littlefield. The girl reportedly told her family she “had sexual intercourse with a 27-year-old male,” according to court documents. The man was later identified as Alton Frank Nichols.
