Reduced relapse in high risk acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic neoplasms with permissive HLA-DPB1 mismatches and post-transplant cyclophosphamide | Leukemia
Abstract Disease progression, graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), and non-relapse mortality (NRM) are the main causes of failure after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (SCT) for myeloid neoplasms. T-cell epitope–based models classify HLA-DPB1 mismatches by permissiveness and have been associated with differential risks of GVHD, relapse, and NRM.

Enantioselective Syntheses of Secondary Alkylboronates via Asymmetric Regioselective Reduction of 1,3‐Dienylboronates
Introduction Transition-metal-catalyzed functionalization of conjugated dienes is a valuable approach to rapidly generate molecular complexity.[1-4] Among these methods, hydrofunctionalization of 1,3-diene (Scheme 1a), particularly the asymmetric variants, has received substantial attention.[5-9] Hydrofunctionalization, broadly defined as the incorporation of hydrogen and another element (or a functional group) to dienes, allows for the production of synthetically useful intermediates (e.g.,...
Dassault Systèmes’ DELMIA Machining Teams Up with Sandvik Coromant for Smarter, Faster Machining
In the fast-paced world of modern manufacturing, time is the ultimate currency. Every minute spent setting up machines, selecting tools, or verifying toolpaths can directly impact profitability. As machining complexity rises and batch sizes shrink, manufacturers can no longer afford fragmented workflows between their CAM software and cutting tool data sources. The answer lies in seamless integration — where the digital manufacturing environment and tool vendors’ libraries work together as one.

Federal Circuit Clarifies Limits Of Prosecution Disclaimer In Patent Families
In Maquet Cardiovascular LLC v. Abiomed Inc., 131 F.4th 1330 (Fed. Cir. 2025), the Federal Circuit addressed whether the prosecution history of one patent in a patent family can limit the scope of claims in a different patent in that same patent family, when the claim terms in the two patents are similar but not the same. Maquet Cardiovascular LLC owns U.S. Patent Nos. 8,888,728 (“the '728 patent”), 9,789,238 (“the '238 patent”), and 10,238,783 (“the '783 patent”).

3D-printed fiber-based perfect vortex beam generator
An all-fiber focused perfect vortex beam (PVB) generator is reported and fabricated by using 3D printing technology. The generator is constructed by integrating a designed spiral axicon zone plate (SAZP) on the fiber-end facet. The ring diameters of the generated beams are independent of the topological charges and positively correlated with the wave vectors in the transverse direction. By controlling the axicon angle, the ring diameter can be freely adjusted.

Multiple Primary Lung Cancers: Treatment Outcomes After Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT).
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES: Patients with lung cancer sometimes present with multiple primary lung cancers (MPLCs), either simultaneously (synchronous) or after treatment of an initial lesion (metachronous). Although open surgery remains a treatment mainstay for patients with stage I-II non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) is an acceptable alternative for patients who are medically unfit for or who refuse surgery.
Taiwan’s “Silicon Shield” Caught in Geopolitics
When C.C. Wei, chief executive for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC), stood alongside President Donald Trump at the White House on March 3 to announce a USD 100 billion investment to produce advanced chips on U.S. soil, government officials in both Beijing and Taipei were seemingly caught off guard. TSMC’s investment pledge, the largest yet by a foreign chipmaker in the United States, is driven by geopolitics.
All-fiber focused optical vortex array generator based on a Dammann–Kinoform spiral zone plate
An optical vortex array (OVA) provides more degrees of freedom for modulation by controlling the number and spatial distribution of optical vortices (OVs). However, traditional approaches such as spatial light modulation need to utilize numerous complex optical components to generate an OVA and bulky objective lenses to focus it. We reported a highly integrated all-fiber generator of the focused optical vortex array (FOVA) in this work.

Mr. Nakamura’s Opus
In 1994, Los Angeles native Eric Nakamura photocopied 240 copies of his first fanzine. Nakamura, then 25, had no inkling that Giant Robot would determine the direction of his life for the next three decades. Very little was planned, yet his zine would expand to a bimonthly magazine, retail stores on both coasts, a restaurant, an art gallery, and a podcast. This essay was adapted from the Alta Weekly Newsletter, delivered every Thursday.

3-Tier Password Management
According to NordPass, the number of passwords owned by an average person stands at 168, with an upward trend. Password managers have been widely recommended to discourage password reuse. However, consolidating all your passwords into a basket and using "one key to rule them all" might not be ideal, especially considering the interdependence of accounts in the event of lateral movements.
The Manufacturing Talent Crunch and CNC Machining Knowledge Capitalization
The manufacturing and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining industries are facing a talent crisis characterized by a shortage of skilled workers.
