Review: III Points 2026 went full throttle on night two
Underworld delivered one of the most powerful performances of night two. If night one was a warm-up, night two delivered in full force, proving once again why III Points has thrived for 13 years and keeps growing, sometimes faster than its infrastructure can keep up. The festival’s ability to embrace multiple layers of sound, culture, taste, and curiosity continues to feed Miami’s seemingly insatiable appetite for entertainment.
III Points 2026 kicks off with rain, raves and rap royalty
Toki, all alone up there without backup dancers and limited stage production, bared her soul and her ass during a 45-minute set. The first day of III Points‘ 13th edition had a little bit of everything. Rising acts like Corridos Ketamina proved that the festival’s musical edge continues to push boundaries, while hip-hop icons like Lil’ Kim showed up for Miami, Men I Trust brought a softer indie-pop touch, and 305 favorite Danny Daze delivered a reminder of the city’s electronic music roots.
The can’t-miss headliners at III Points
Past edition of III Points With III Points taking over Wynwood this weekend, it’s time to look at the lineup with hawk-like eyes and make some serious decisions. And it all begins with the headliners. This year may be III Points’ most headliner-dominated to date — in fact, it is not out of the realm of reality to still spot an act that you did not catch at first glance. So, here is a very non-exhaustive list of some of our favorite headliners. You can check set times and stages here.
The best Miami acts to catch at III Points
Angela Rio and June Vinette of B0yg1rl. It’s a homegrown axiom that III Points was and is a festival by locals for locals. No matter how seismic the production or lineup, locals continue to find a home each year. In fact, it may be considered blasphemy to ignore the Miamians dominating the lineup in favor of national or international talent. So, here’s another non-exhaustive list of must-see local artists to check out at III Points 2026. The name says it all.
Empire of the Sun brought a Technicolor Dream to Miami
The artist Wassily Kandinsky put it best: “Color is a power which directly influences the soul.” Following the openers, Mexico’s Midnight Generation, and a vibrant DJ set from the Parisian duo, Polo & Pan, who may have dropped a Ricardo Villalobos track in the middle of downtown Miami, the Australian band, Empire of the Sun (Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore), took over the FPL Solar Amphitheater at Bayfront Park with the same futuristic themes that have enticed the listener for years.

Alan T and Danny Tenaglia Reflect Before Sharing the Stage at Floyd
No matter the industry or the passage of time, one rule endures: friends support each other. On July 5, the audience at Downtown’s Floyd will see this axiom in true form when Floyd’s doorman and artistic force, Alan T, invites his long-time friend, Danny Tenaglia, to the decks. The event will be part of the party series Divorcée, a party spearheaded by Alan (Tibaldeo) T, Adam Brien, and Maram Ballol.
A Miami record label is celebrating 10 years of vinyl culture
Take your mark! On Friday, June 19, at Downtown’s Floyd, the homegrown record label, Sports Records, celebrates double digits on the odometer with ten years of parties and vinyl-only releases. “Sports was always built more like a team than a company,” co-founder Kyle Parker elucidates to New Times.

Ultra 2026 Day Two Delivers Peak Energy, Iconic Sets, and a Block Party Takeover
Day Two at Ultra Music Festival felt like the main course of a world-class feast unfolding in downtown Miami. From Deep Dish revisiting timeless classics with fresh energy to Carl Cox weaving salsa into his techno command, and Swedish House Mafia transforming Bayfront Park into a full-scale block party with surprise guests, the day delivered across every corner of the lineup. Here are our favorite moments from Ultra’s second day.
Ultra 2026 Day One Delivers Highs, Surprises, and a Few Misses
Under the slogan “Only legends, superstars, and talent,” Ultra Music Festival took over Miami once again — and Day 1 definitely lived up to it. The first night of the three-day festival brought a mix of epic b2bs, spiritual moments, and plenty of high-energy sets that kept the crowd locked in from start to finish. Some performances caught us off guard in the best way, while others didn’t quite hit.

From comfy shoes to sunscreen, here are the essential items to bring to Ultra Music Festival. By Grant AlbertMarch 23, 2026 Make sure you are ready to conquer Ultra Music Festival. Photo by Alive Coverage for Ultra Music Festival Ultra Music Festival certainly qualifies as an endurance test. It’s a three-day bacchanal of electronic dance music, ranging from house and EDM to techno and dubstep. Beyond the music, there are other factors to consider.
Heels on the Main Stage: Inside the World of Ultra’s Angels
They stood tall on one side of the room, dressed in all-black and high-heeled boots. One, two, three, they slipped into formation like quicksilver, cutting the air in sharp movements. Hands by their hips, legs straight, eyes piercing. On the other end, their feet bounced between the floor and the air as if trying to spark a fire. Each leg moved in a mesmerizing one/two — everyone locked in step with one another.

Ultra’s Mission: Home Aims to Keep Bayfront Park Clean
Ultra's sustainability program has set a goal to keep the Biscayne Water flowing through Bayfront Park unaffected for the past 6 years. Ultra photo The post-festival grounds fall just a few steps below a landfill. Water bottles lie on the floor, contorted, like fumigated bugs. Flat-as-pancake-stomped cans are discarded on the ground. Cigarette butts lay in waste, and there is a formidable thickness of grime and sweat all over.

Roth continues to release icy tracks on darker-sounding labels. Natalia Roth press photo. Sweet Collapse is one of many EPs from Natalia Roth, the Miami producer, resident DJ at Club Space, and solo artist. This record, released on Handpicked, a sub-label of California’s Music is 4 Lovers, obviously carries a techno sound that has made her a regular on Space’s darker lineups. Still, the EP and Roth herself seek refinement.
These Downtown Miami Clubs Will Celebrate David Lynch’s Legacy
This year seemed to be an especially cruel cultural gut punch, with the loss of icons we loved. It likely began at the start of 2025 with the passing of the auteur, David Lynch. The Montana-born director, author, producer, music festival organizer, and painter created the mind-bending whodunit Twin Peaks for primetime television in 1990. Although it lasted only two seasons, it was enough to become a wellspring for three decades of artists to draw upon.

Tiga to Perform Two Miami Shows During Art Basel Week
Tiga’s new single, “Ecstasy Surrounds Me,” with its unapologetic synth-pop glory, is not the artist’s soapbox stand or effort to resurrect a genre that began back in the Carter administration. It’s a song that tries to explain the genesis of the Canadian’s three-decade-long career. “It’s a synth-pop record,” he says matter-of-factly to theNew Times from his Montreal home. “It’s just my first love, it’s the music I grew up with.

11 Best Nightclubs in Miami
Greetings from Miami! You have landed on fresh soil and are looking for a legendary night out on the town. You could do the Miami all-night stretch, traversing downtown and the Beach. You could, alternatively, hang with the upper echelons of society and hit up the ultra-VIP clubs for no-holds-barred fun. Then there are the cheap, barebone warehouses where furious and stampeding beats keep the heart rate up.
Can Miami Become the South’s Next Great Oyster Capital?
It was within five minutes of the call that Josh Wilkie and Fabio Galarce, founders of the new Everglades Oysters company, were already providing New Times with a rich primer on the history between Florida and the bivalve mollusk, also known as mussells, clams, and in this case, oysters. Oysters have been a part of Florida culture for millennia, going back to the Calusa tribe (the “Shell Indians”), who made the protein-rich oyster a linchpin to their diet and culture.

Review: Justice Delivers a Miami Show for the Ages
The stage featured roughly a dozen mirror-framed panels that served as both lights and LED screens. Photo by Grant Albert. It began with a ping. Then two, then three. Sam Gellaitry opened the show last night at Kaseya Center in Downtown Miami. Katryanda followed, showcasing his unparalleled mic-commanding showmanship, swagger, and profound track selection in the middle of the venue (but what a shame for the roughly ten percent of the crowd that exited the Arena after his set).

Best Techno Clubs in Miami
Best Techno Clubs in Miami Here are key spots in Miami’s underground techno scene, including Domicile, Boombox, and the Ground. The Boombox is the place to go for underground parties. The immaculate sunsets and calm waters of South Florida would make one think this is disco (or house) country. That is certainly a correct assumption, given the city’s EDM and tech-house monoliths, which can demand a lot for tables and bottle service.

Miami Techno Club Domicile to Reopen in Allapattah in September
It would appear that the recent resurrection of Miami's closed clubs must be a result of divine intervention. While some venues expressed a promise to return, a fan remained sanguine and realized the laborious task of reopening a now-closed venue. Yet in three months, bygone clubs like Eagle Room, Boombox, Las Rosas, and now Domicile have reopened their doors in old and new locations.
Miami's Last German Deli Lives On in Pinecrest
Before Cheryl Oswald, owner of Pinecrest's Mainzer's Delicatessen & European Market, could speak to New Times about the deli's five-decade-long legacy, a matter had to be attended to: the roast beef had to be put in the oven. The Pinecrest shop is located in the same shopping center as other culinary heavyweights, including the Mediterranean restaurant Daily Bread and the 24/7 pan-de-bistec-quencher Pinecrest Bakery. Yet, no other restaurant in the area can match Mainzer's vintage.
