An explainable machine learning and human-computer interaction analytical framework for predicting learning outcomes in public music education in minority regions
Abstract Public music education in minority regions of Southwest China faces constraints related to educational resources and digital infrastructure. Integrating machine learning (ML) with human-computer interaction (HCI) offers a means of analyzing learning behaviors, perceived platform experience, and learning outcomes.
Propagation-induced reshaping of the energy–information tradeoff in turbulent optical channels
Atmospheric turbulence reshapes the energy–information relation in simultaneous lightwave information and power transfer (SLIPT) through irradiance fluctuations. We derive a second-order approximation that isolates a variance penalty and use it as the prior for a differentiable residual surrogate. Under log-normal fading, the surrogate is trained with Gauss–Hermite references and independently tested by Monte Carlo simulation on disjoint grids.
The non-inflammatory effect of neuronal NLRP3 on spatial memory after traumatic brain injury
Abstract The NLRP3 inflammasome has emerged as a critical regulator in neuroinflammatory responses to various brain insults from traumatic, ischemic and neurodegenerative conditions, an effect almost exclusively attributed to microglial NLRP3.
Nano-kinetic implant surface mediates osteo-antibacterial synergy through electromagnetic-mechanical coupling
Abstract Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a devastating complication of total joint arthroplasty, mainly caused by bacterial biofilm formation and antibiotic resistance. Traditional static surfaces rely on contact killing-based bactericidal properties and cannot reliably clear mature biofilms. In this study, we fabricate a remote-activated dynamic biomimetic system, namely a movable magnetic topographic surface (MMTS).
Dynamic effects of microglial NLRP3 on transcriptional alterations post-traumatic brain injury
Abstract Introduction: The nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain, leucine-rich repeat, and pyrin domain-containing protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome is predominantly expressed in microglia within the central nervous system (CNS) and plays critical roles in neuroinflammatory diseases, including traumatic brain injury (TBI). The function of the microglial NLRP3 inflammasome may vary as the disease progresses.

Improving protein and protein interactions using pseudo-dimers derived from monomeric proteins
Abstract Accurately predicting protein-protein interactions (PPIs) in dimeric complexes remains a fundamental challenge in computational biology. Although existing PPIs prediction models, such as AlphaFold-Multimer (AF-Multimer) and AlphaFold3 (AF3), have achieved impressive performance, they still suffer from unsatisfactory accuracy due to the limited availability of protein dimer structures, whose collection is both expensive and labor-intensive.

Abstarct Industrial activities have driven stratospheric ozone depletion, increasing surface UV-B radiation while exacerbating global warming. These changes limit crop productivity, alter species distributions, and disrupt plant metabolic processes, but the mechanisms linking energy signaling to heat-stress responses remain unclear.

Stimuli‐Responsive Nanoplatform for Photodynamic Therapy and Disulfidptosis Synergy
1 Introduction Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has a garnered significant attention due to its low toxicity and high selectivity [1]. During PDT, photosensitizers (PS) are taken up by tumor cells and absorb light energy under near-infrared light, transferring it to ambient O2 and generating reactive oxygen species (ROS) with high cytotoxicity [2, 3]. These ROS can oxidize and damage nucleic acids, proteins, and other biomolecules in cancer cells, thereby inducing apoptosis and necrosis [4].
Matched tissue-blood whole-exome sequencing improves detection of genetic etiologies in pediatric drug-resistant epilepsy
1 Introduction Epilepsy is a common chronic neurological disorder affecting approximately 1% of the global population, characterized by recurrent, transient disruptions of neurological function caused by abnormal neuronal discharges (1, 2). Despite the increasing availability of antiseizure medications (ASMs) in recent years, approximately 20%–40% of pediatric patients still respond poorly to existing therapies and develop drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE) (3–5).

Engineering autonomously luminescent plants using the fungal bioluminescence pathway
Introduction Bioluminescence, the emission of visible light by living organisms as a result of enzymatic oxidation of a small-molecule substrate, is a captivating and widespread phenomenon observed across multiple domains of life (Schramm & Weiß, 2024). It is distinct from fluorescence or phosphorescence in that it involves an enzymatic reaction that produces light de novo, without the requirement of prior light absorption (Cabello et al., 2023).

Developing a versatile technology for agroinfiltration in multiple plants
Abstract Agrobacterium-mediated transient transformation methods are widely used in plant science and molecular pharming. However, plant immune response and post-transcriptional gene silencing (PTGS) can compromise gene expression, limiting the adaptability of these methods across plant species. The lack of a robust reporter system further hinders advancements in agroinfiltration technology.

Reactive oxygen species (∙O2–, ∙OH, 1O2, and H2O2) induced via molecular oxygen (O2) activation have been confirmed to play a crucial role in water purification [1], [2], [3]. In recent years, many efforts have been devoted to boosting O2 activation in photocatalysis [4], [5], [6], offering advantages such as being environmentally friendly, simple to operate, inexpensive, and requiring mild reaction conditions.

Effect of Rubber Aggregates on Early-Age Mechanical Properties and Deformation Behaviors of Cement Mortar
1. Introduction In recent years, on account of the rapid expansion of the automotive industry, the global annual production of waste tires has exceeded 200 million tons, of which China’s waste tire output accounts for more than 30% [1]. Waste tires are non-biodegradable waste. If only landfilled, they can cause significant harm to the environment and natural resources.
