Programming Gut Microbiome Function Through Cross-Feeding: From Ecological Mechanisms to Live Biotherapeutics
1 Introduction Gut microbiota function as dynamic communities shaped by metabolic exchange, resource competition, antagonism, and host selection [1, 2]. The study of microbial metabolic interdependence originated in mid-20th-century anaerobic microbiology. Early continuous-culture experiments demonstrated that growth and energy conservation in some organisms can depend on compounds released or consumed by partner organisms [3, 4].
Investigation of area-dependent high-power failure of film bulk acoustic resonators
Abstract Film bulk acoustic resonators (FBARs) are widely used in radio frequency (RF) filters for wireless communication because of their high operating frequency and high quality factor. With the increase of high-power applications, ensuring device robustness has become a critical challenge. This study presents an investigation into the high-power failure behaviors and mechanisms of FBARs, specifically examining the role of active area, film thickness, and geometry.

Interaction model of client health behavior-based nursing intervention improves outcomes in patients with pressure injury: A quasi-experimental study
Abstract Pressure injury (PI) prevention requires sustained nursing behaviors from patients, caregivers, and nurses. This single-center quasi-experimental, non-randomized, non-equivalent control group study enrolled 60 inpatients with PI or high PI risk from June 2022 to June 2023, allocated by admission period to routine care or Interaction Model of Client Health Behavior-based nursing for 3 months.
Switching Water Oxidation Pathway via NiFe Dual-Atoms on BiVO 4 : An *O─O* Coupling Mechanism Route to Bypass Adsorbate Evolution Mechanism Limitations
1 Introduction Photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting converts solar energy into hydrogen, which is a green and sustainable way to address the energy crisis and climate change issue [1-4]. The photoelectrodes include the photoanode and photocathode, which play a key role in light harvesting, charge carrier generation, and surface catalysis [5-7].
CircPTP4A2 (hsa_circ_0007364) promotes growth and invasion of non-small cell lung cancer by regulating miR-183-5p/EEF2 axis
Abstract Recently, a novel circular RNA (circRNA), circPTP4A2 (hsa_circ_0007364), was reported to promote cervical cancer progression. However, its specific role in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains unclear. Here, we observed that circPTP4A2 is significantly upregulated in NSCLC tissues and cell lines.
Stiff matrix-induced KRTAP2-3 expression suppresses ciliogenesis via actin tension-driven chromatin remodeling
Abstract Primary cilia are sensory organelles that project from the cell surface and play vital roles in cell signaling pathways essential for development and homeostasis. However, the mechanotransduction pathways through which cells perceive and respond to matrix rigidity to regulate ciliogenesis remain poorly understood. In this study, we find that increased matrix stiffness significantly reduces primary cilia formation compared to soft matrix.
TOPCon-based bottom cells for perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells
Keywords perovskite/silicon 2T tandem solar cells Si bottom cells TOPCon SHJ bi-poly TOPCon Introduction Electricity and heat generation account for approximately one-fourth of global greenhouse gas emissions, primarily driven by CO2 emissions from fossil fuel consumption.1 As we seek to decarbonize the electricity mix to mitigate climate change, renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, geothermal, and hydroelectric power are becoming increasingly critical.
Additive-assisted perovskite crystallization on industrial TOPCon silicon for tandem solar cells with improved efficiency
|
Abstract Thin silicon wafers used in tunnel oxide passivated contact tandem solar cells have reduced thermal mass and higher thermal conductivity, which accelerate heat transfer during perovskite subcell deposition. This rapid heat transfer induces fast crystallization of the perovskite layer, compromising film quality and tandem performance. Here we introduce 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, which exhibits dual-mode binding with perovskite organic cations, to modulate crystallization dynamics.

Artificial intelligence turns simple text into realistic building designs
image: The figure shows how the proposed framework turns a text description of a building into a realistic architectural image, step by step. First, the system uses the text prompt to generate a simple structural sketch that captures the overall shape of the building, including the correct number of floors. Next, the sketch is refined by adding detailed architectural elements, such as windows and doors, using a database of real building components as a reference.

p300/CBP-catalyzed acetylation safeguards minor zygotic genome activation via activating DUX
Abstract Zygotic genome activation (ZGA), the first transcriptional event at the onset of life, is crucial for early embryonic development. However, the mechanisms that initiate and regulate ZGA in mammals remain poorly understood. In this study, we demonstrate that p300/CBP-catalyzed acetylation plays a vital role in regulating ZGA. Inhibition of p300/CBP acetyltransferase activity results in impaired minor ZGA and a subsequent 2-cell arrest.

Prevention of postpancreatectomy hemorrhage after laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy by wrapping ligamentum teres hepatis surrounding hepatic portal artery | Scientific Reports
Abstract Postpancreatectomy hemorrhage (PPH) is an important risk factor for postoperative complications after laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD). Recent studies have reported that the use of ligamentum teres hepatis (LTH) in LPD may reduce the risk of PPH. Therefore, this study aims to investigate whether wrapping the hepatic hilar artery with the LTH can reduce PPH after LPD. We reviewed the data of 131 patients who underwent LPD in our team from April 2018 to December 2023.

Enhanced carrier mobility and interface charge transfer in Bi-MoS2 heterojunctions induced by point defects
Since the initial discovery of graphene, research into two-dimensional materials has remained at the forefront of scientific and engineering disciplines [1]. A body–brain circuit that regulates body inflammatory responses - Nature
Abstract The body-brain axis is emerging as a principal conductor of organismal physiology. It senses and controls organ function1,2, metabolism3 and nutritional state4-6. Here, we show that a peripheral immune insult powerfully activates the body-brain axis to regulate immune responses. We demonstrate that pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines communicate with distinct populations of vagal neurons to inform the brain of an emerging inflammatory response.
