An epigenetic aging-informed dietary pattern is associated with a spectrum of aging-related health outcomes
Abstract Diet is associated with biological aging, yet few existing dietary indices have been developed specifically to target biological aging. We develop a data-driven, food-based Empirical Dietary Index for Slower Epigenetic Aging (EDISEA) to identify dietary features predictive of lower GrimAge2 acceleration.
Microglial METTL14 mediated m⁶A regulation of ATG13 promotes autophagy and functional recovery after spinal cord injury
Abstract Spinal cord injury (SCI) causes severe neurological deficits and remains difficult to treat, in part because persistent neuroinflammation limits tissue repair and functional recovery. Although N6-methyladenosine (m⁶A) modification regulates RNA metabolism in diverse biological contexts, its role in microglial responses after SCI remains unclear.
Coffee and Parkinson’s disease: associations by CYP1A2 genotype and sex in UK Biobank
Abstract Coffee consumption has been associated with Parkinson’s disease (PD), but findings remain inconsistent. We examined whether this association differs by CYP1A2 genotype and sex in 435,551 UK Biobank participants free of PD at baseline. During a median follow-up of 15.7 years, 3319 incident PD cases were identified. In overall analyses, coffee intake was not associated with PD risk. However, coffee intake significantly interacted with CYP1A2 genotype.
A two-dimensional axis estimation method for pickable canopy apples based on YOLO cascade network
Abstract Introduction: In a complex orchard environment, canopy apples are obscured by various factors, making it hard for apple harvesting robots to accurately determine which apples can be directly harvested. Furthermore, the complex obstruction leads to difficulties in identifying keypoints on the apples and caculating the axis direction, directly affecting the robot’s determination of grasping positions.
Associations of loneliness, social isolation and healthy lifestyle with life expectancy free of major physical disease and mental disorder
Abstract Loneliness and social isolation are linked to higher risks of mortality and a range of adverse physical diseases and mental disorders, yet the extent to which they affect overall health and quality of life remains unclear. Here we show that loneliness and social isolation are more strongly associated with life expectancy free of mental disorder than with life expectancy free of physical disease.

A Case Report of Fatal Sinoatrial Node Dysfunction Secondary to Primary Pulmonary Vascular Leiomyosarcoma: Diagnostic Challenges and Imaging Findings
You are already at the latest version Abstract Background: Primary pulmonary vascular leiomyosarcoma is an exceptionally rare and highly aggressive malignancy that frequently masquerades as pulmonary embolism, thereby delaying definitive treatment. The development of sinoatrial node dysfunction secondary to local tumor invasion represents an even rarer, life-threatening complication with sparse documentation in the literature.
Multiple Genetic Shifts at the Crossroads of the Eastern Steppe and Loess Plateau Over 4,000 Years
|
Abstract Ningxia, located at a key crossroads between the Eurasian Steppe and East Asia, was an important corridor for cultural exchange and human migration, yet its genetic history has remained poorly understood. In this study, we sequenced 89 individuals from 23 archeological sites in Ningxia, dating from 4245 to 301 BP. Our findings show that late Neolithic inhabitants of Ningxia possessed ancestral components from the Yellow River, Ancient Northeast Asia, and the Tibetan Plateau.

Iterative identification algorithms for parametric separable nonlinear network modelling
Mathematical models are fundamental for describing the dynamic behaviour of systems. System identification aims to estimate model parameters based on observation data. Selecting an appropriate model along with designing a high-precision parameter estimation algorithm can improve the modelling accuracy. This paper studies the parameter estimation problem for a class of parametric separable nonlinear network models, i.e. the RBF-ARX model.

Negative pressure wound therapy for perianal necrotizing fasciitis: case report and literature review
Abstract Perianal necrotizing fasciitis (PNF) is a life-threatening soft tissue infection with high mortality. Despite the established role of radical debridement, outcomes are often hindered by late diagnosis and suboptimal postoperative care. While negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) promotes complex wound healing, its synergistic application with radical debridement in PNF requires further validation.

An Improved Multimodal Framework-Based Fault Classification Method for Distribution Systems Using LSTM Fusion and Cross-Attention
1. Introduction Ensuring the reliability of power distribution systems is essential for the stability of the power industry [1]. Power distribution systems are often impacted by a variety of events, such as equipment failures and lightning strikes. The overlapping spectral characteristics of transient faults result in ambiguous feature representations.
