Abstract Early-phase studies of deep B cell depletion with anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T have produced prolonged, drug-free remission in refractory autoimmune disease. However, CAR T cell therapy requires lymphodepleting chemotherapy, autologous cell manufacturing and specialized infrastructure, limiting reach to a fraction of patients who might benefit.

Extracellular Fluorescence Recording of BacFlash Dynamics Reveals Two Distinct Modes of Proton Extrusion
1 Introduction Intracellular pH (pHi) is pivotal in regulating cellular physiology, influencing metabolic processes, membrane potential, enzyme activity, and signal transduction pathways [1-3]. Although pHi is generally well maintained, an increasing number of studies have reported transient, burst-like proton flux events across various biological systems, reflecting localized and dynamic disruptions in proton homeostasis [4-6].

Transformer-based wavefront sensing for atmospheric turbulence aberration correction
We propose a novel transformer-based wavefront sensing method, to the best of our knowledge, that employs a cross-task pretraining strategy to establish strong global dependencies. Compared to the CNN-based approach, this method significantly improves the aberration estimation accuracy, reducing test set loss by 70.5% and RMS by 45.7%. Notably, the attention maps of different Zernike output terms in this method exhibit remarkable consistency with the PSFs corresponding to individual aberrations.

Introduction Obesity has become a growing global public health concern, with prevalence rates increasing dramatically since 1990. The rate of obesity among adults worldwide has more than doubled, while obesity among adolescents has tripled.1 In the United States, the prevalence of obesity among adults has reached 42%.2 Obesity is linked to the development of numerous diseases, including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and atherosclerosis.
Asymmetric Manipulation of Perpendicular Exchange Bias and Programmable Spin Logical Cells by Spin-Orbit Torque in a Ferromagnet/Antiferromagnet System - Guo - Advanced Science - Wiley Online Library
1 Introduction Electrical manipulation of the magnetization in magnetic films has attracted tremendous attention for the next generation of spintronic applications. It has great potential for achieving the high-performance and low-power consumption devices. The Spin-Orbit Torque (SOT), which is generated by heavy metals (HMs), such as Pt, Ta, and W, is an efficient approach to attain electrical manipulation.

Vascular Dysfunctions Contribute to the Long-Term Cognitive Deficits Following COVID-19
Abstract : Simple Summary Although SARS-CoV-2 primarily affects the upper respiratory system and the lungs, it can also affect vasculature, leading to the impairment of endothelial and multi-organ function. SARS-CoV-2 can trigger the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, leading to disruption of tight junction proteins between endothelial cells and impairment of the blood-brain barrier (BBB).

Cancer cells escape autophagy inhibition via NRF2-induced macropinocytosis
Highlights • Autophagy inhibition upregulates MP • Autophagy to MP switch depends on NRF2-mediated induction of MP components • NRF2 activated MP supplies energy to autophagy-deficient cells • Combined inhibition of autophagy and MP triggers dramatic tumor regression Summary Many cancers, including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), depend on autophagy-mediated scavenging and recycling of intracellular macromolecules, suggesting that autophagy blockade should cause tumor starvation and...
Renal histopathological analysis of 26 postmortem findings of patients with COVID-19 in China
Although the respiratory and immune systems are the major targets of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), acute kidney injury and proteinuria have also been observed. Currently, detailed pathologic examination of kidney damage in critically ill patients with COVID-19 has been lacking. To help define this we analyzed kidney abnormalities in 26 autopsies of patients with COVID-19 by light microscopy, ultrastructural observation and immunostaining.
Kinin B1 Receptor Is Important in the Pathogenesis of Myeloperoxidase-Specific ANCA GN
ANCAs specific for myeloperoxidase (MPO) and proteinase 3 are implicated in the pathogenesis of vasculitis and GN. Kinins play a major role in mediating acute inflammation, and kinin system activation occurs in patients with ANCA vasculitis. The authors investigated the role of bradykinin receptor 1 (B1R), which modulates leukocyte adhesion and migration, in the pathogenesis of MPO-ANCA GN in a murine model.

Retrieving Temperature Anomaly in the Global Subsurface and Deeper Ocean From Satellite Observations
Retrieving the subsurface and deeper ocean (SDO) dynamic parameters from satellite observations is crucial for effectively understanding ocean interior anomalies and dynamic processes, but it is challenging to accurately estimate the subsurface thermal structure over the global scale from sea surface parameters.
Monitoring the dynamic photocatalytic activity of single CdS nanoparticles by lighting up H2 nanobubbles with fluorescent dyes
The capability of semiconductor nanomaterials to convert solar energy to chemical energy has led to many promising applications, for instance, photocatalyzed H generation. Studying this important photocatalytic reaction at single nanocatalyst level provides a great opportunity to understand the microscopic reaction kinetics and mechanism by overcoming the chemical and structural heterogeneity among individuals.
Inconsistent subsurface and deeper ocean warming signals during recent global warming and hiatus
Ocean heat content (OHC) evolutions calculated from the datasets (WOA, MyOcean, ORAS4, and SODA) was examined at different depth ranges in this study. According to the OHC changes, the subsurface and deeper ocean (SDO, 300-2000 m) heat content rapidly increased over the world's ocean basins during 1998-2013, indicating significant warming in the SDO during the recent global surface warming hiatus.
