Aspirin suppresses cytoprotective autophagy and colorectal tumorigenesis through HSP90AA1 K410 acetylation-mediated ULK1 ubiquitination and degradation
Abstract Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains a significant global health challenge with high recurrence rates despite therapeutic advancements, underscoring the urgency for innovative therapeutic strategies. Clinical trials have demonstrated that aspirin treatment correlates with reduced cancer incidence, recurrence, metastasis, and mortality, yet the precise intricacies of aspirin’s role in tumorigenesis and its underlying mechanisms remain incompletely understood.

Data collected encompassed demographic information, vital signs, laboratory results, and other relevant variables.
Ultra-thin γ-In 2 Se 3 buffer layer for efficient and all-dry Cd-free Cu(In,Ga)Se 2 solar cells
Abstract The search for a high-efficiency, low-cost, and sustainable cadmium (Cd)-free buffer has long challenged the commercialization of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGSe) photovoltaics. Here, we report an all‑dry, scalable vacuum deposition strategy of an ultrathin γ-In2Se3 buffer layer using only absorber‑native elements, enabling high-performance Cd-free CIGSe solar cells. Fully compatible with vacuum manufacturing and requires no additional equipment.

Quantum-memory-assisted on-demand microwave-optical transduction
Abstract Microwave-optical transducers and quantum memories are essential for quantum repeaters enabling a quantum internet. Despite advances in both technologies, integrating these functionalities remains challenging. Here, we theoretically propose and experimentally demonstrate an on-demand microwave-optical quantum transducer based on a Rydberg ensemble.
Association between gut microbiota characteristics and therapeutic efficacy of multimodal combination therapy in hepatocellular carcinoma with portal vein tumor thrombus: a secondary analysis of a prospective phase II trial
Abstract Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) carries a poor prognosis. Although SBRT combined with cadonilimab and lenvatinib has shown encouraging antitumor activity in a prior prospective phase II trial, marked interpatient heterogeneity remains. Gut microbiota may influence antitumor immunity and could help identify patients more or less likely to benefit from this regimen.

Efficacy and Safety of Low-Frequency Daratumumab Regimen in Systemic Light-Chain Amyloidosis
1 Introduction Systemic immunoglobulin light-chain (AL) amyloidosis is a rare clonal plasma-cell neoplasm caused by the excess production and deposition of insoluble β-pleated sheets of misfolded immunoglobulin light chains [1]. These are in turn responsible for significant organ dysfunction, infiltrating vital organs, which are most commonly the heart and kidneys [2]. AL amyloidosis is an uncommon hematologic disorder with an incidence of approximately 9–14 patients per million person-years [3].

Maximizing carrier extraction in hybrid back-contact silicon solar cells
|
Abstract Hybrid back-contact (BC) silicon solar cells 1-3 combine the strengths of TOPCon-derived 4-7 n-type contacts, SHJ-derived 8-12 p-type contacts, and interdigitated BC (IBC)13,14 device structures. Though high performance in the form of 27.8% efficiency has been demonstrated,1 the understanding of the fundamental advantages of the hybrid BC architecture over conventional BC cells (e.g. eliminating front-surface metallization shading 3) remains unexplored.

Evaluation of an interpretable deep-learning model for the automated plan review of intensity-modulated radiation therapy
Abstract Background: Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) is a treatment modality for delivering a higher radiation dose to the target using multiple radiation beams from various gantry angles. Since an IMRT plan is complex and presents a high risk, quality assurance is crucial. In routine clinical practice, a radiotherapy treatment plan review is manually conducted by experienced planners to ensure the high quality and reliability of an IMRT plan.
Chrysanthemum classification via color space fusion transformer - Scientific Reports
Abstract Chrysanthemum is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb that contains significant medicinal and economic value. However, the medicinal and economic value of chrysanthemum differs depending on its regions and types. Therefore, it is valuable to classify chrysanthemum accurately. Traditional classification methods are costly, time-consuming, and mainly rely on manual processes, chemical testing, or genetic analysis.
A Case With Concurrent Monoclonal Gammopathy, Thrombocytopenia, and Antiphospholipid Antibodies
Dear Editor, Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) is defined by the detection of monoclonal protein (M-protein) in the serum without meeting the diagnostic criteria for other lymphoid or plasma cell neoplasms. MGUS can be associated with various autoimmune phenomena, including cytopenia and the production of autoantibodies. Antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL) are a group of autoantibodies directed against phospholipid-protein complexes.

Physiological and molecular dynamic changes during 23-day high-altitude exposure reveal novel biomarkers for acclimatization
Abstract Introduction: Health conditions associated with rapid ascent to high altitudes remain prevalent and pose an ongoing challenge. While acute mountain sickness (AMS) typically occurs within the first few days after ascent, the physiological and molecular acclimatization processes during prolonged high-altitude exposure beyond the initial acute phase remain incompletely understood.
Ligand-receptor interactions induce and mediate regulatory functions of BATF3+ B cells
|
Abstract B cells express many protein ligands, yet their regulatory functions are incompletely understood. We profiled ligand expression across murine B sublineage cells, including those activated by defined receptor signals, and assessed their regulatory capacities and specificities through in silico analysis of ligand-receptor interactions. Consequently, we identified a B cell subset that expressed cytokine interleukin-27 (IL-27) and chemokine CXCL10.

Rapeseed protein as a sustainable source of protein in humans: modification of rapeseed meal by physical and chemical methods
Abstract There has been a rapid increase in the consumption of unconventional plant-based proteins due to a critical shortage of animal and soybean proteins, as well as the appealing characteristics, which include being healthy, sustainable, ethical, and relatively inexpensive. Rapeseed meal (RSM) was used as animal feed because of its high protein and well-balanced amino acids spectrum.

Cost-effectiveness of the addition of sintilimab as a first-line therapy for locally advanced or metastatic oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma: a Chinese healthcare system perspective | Health Economics Review | Full Text
A partitioned survival model was constructed in Microsoft Excel to compare the cost-effectiveness of sintilimab combined with placebo for first-line treatment of locally advanced or metastatic OSCC patients. In the decision model, three mutually exclusive health states were considered: progression-free survival (PFS), progressive disease (PD) and death (Fig. 1). At the beginning, patients were in an “event-free” state.
