The New Orleans Saints made a bulk of their offseason investments on offense heading into what's expected to be an exciting 2026 season. But might there be some reason for concern on the other side of the ball? The Saints "overachieved" in Year 1 under Brandon Staley at defensive coordinator, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.football said on SportsTalk, and that might have to happen agains for the Saints to end their skid of five consecutive missed postseasons.

New Orleans Saints fans are eagerly awaiting the emergence of rookie WR Jordyn Tyson, and the former Arizona State standout got a ringing endorsement from his new QB this week. Speaking on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast this week, Shough described what he's seen from the No. 8 overall pick in limited action thus far. "He's kind of just like an elite hooper. ... He's going to hoop regardless," Shough said. "Like, he's going to jump out of the gym on somebody.

Saints announce full training camp schedule; see dates for 9 open practices

The New Orleans Saints announced on Wednesday their full schedule for their 2026 training camp, and fans will have plenty of opportunities to get a first-hand look at how things are developing. The Saints have scheduled nine total open practices, two of which will be joint sessions against other NFL teams. The Saints also held nine open practices during their 2025 camp. Saints players will report for camp on July 28, with the first practice set for the following day and not open to the fans.
