World models learn state evolution from trajectories, making access to temporal context a central training requirement. Federated learning can use distributed records, while ownership boundaries within a trajectory restrict the examples each client can construct. Our study benchmarks this cross-time setting through hourly action-conditioned clinical prediction on eight MIMIC-IV disease cohorts, comprising 40.87 million transition memberships.

Wintertime organic carbon export provides a potential food source for zooplankton in the High Arctic
Abstract Pulsed particulate organic carbon export plays a vital role in sustaining Arctic marine ecosystems and the biological pump. Wintertime particulate organic carbon export in ice-covered Arctic waters is generally considered negligible due to light-limited local primary production. However, using time-series sediment-trap samples, we observe a high wintertime particulate organic carbon flux lasting over three months at the ice-covered Northwind Abyssal Plain in the High Arctic.

Emotional dialogue research includes two influential strategy traditions. Empathetic dialogue prioritizes understanding a speaker's emotional experience. Emotional support conversation selects and sequences support for the seeker's current needs. Sustained use introduces a further goal. Effective support should sustain users' capacities for emotion regulation, coping, self-endorsed decisions, and social connection across the interaction lifecycle.
More teaching, less promotion: analysing the relationship between female faculty’s teaching commitment and academic promotion in China
Abstract Women account for a larger share of university faculty in China than in many developed countries, yet limited research has examined gender differences in teaching commitment and whether its association with academic promotion varies by gender.
Paternal age and sperm DNA fragmentation independently affect embryonic ploidy but not euploid embryo implantation potential
Abstract Objective: To systematically evaluate the associations between paternal factors (age, semen parameters, body mass index, sperm DNA fragmentation index (DFI), and leukocyte count), embryonic ploidy, and the clinical implantation potential of euploid embryos. Design: Single-center retrospective cohort study.

Functional tooth unit and abdominal aortic calcification: a population-based study from NHANES
Objective: Abdominal aortic calcification (AAC) is a prevalent condition associated with cardiovascular risk, and functional tooth units (FTU) may influence AAC risk. The study investigates the relationship between FTU and AAC in a population-based cohort. Method and materials: The study analyzed data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2013–2014 with 2,486 participants.
A multidimensional reliability-enhanced belief rule base model for fault diagnosis
Abstract Fault diagnosis is essential for the safe and stable operation of industrial equipment and for improving maintenance efficiency. The belief rule base (BRB) is well suited to fault diagnosis under complex conditions because of its strengths in knowledge representation and uncertainty reasoning.

A fault diagnosis method for complex systems based on hierarchical belief rule base with One-vs-Rest strategy
Abstract Complex systems often experience various faults during operation. These faults can seriously affect system stability. Therefore, building an accurate and efficient fault diagnosis model is highly important. The belief rule base (BRB) is an effective method for fault diagnosis that combines expert knowledge with data-driven approaches. It can effectively handle uncertain information and has been widely applied in this field. However, class imbalance is common in real engineering applications.
‘EVERYBODY’: Asking All the Multimedia Questions
EVERYBODY is a piece of modern dream theater that’s not afraid of getting weird. All the world’s a stage, but also a dream, and a presentation to God, which turns into an understanding of your own life. Inspired by the medieval morality play “Everyman”, the performance asks the audience an age-long question in a novel way: what is the meaning of life? Spoiler alert: it doesn’t answer the question.

Inside Out: How Cellular Localisation Shapes cGAS Functions in Health and Disease
1 Introduction cGAS (cyclic GMP-AMP synthase) is a central component of the innate immune response. As an intracellular DNA sensor, it recognises aberrant cytosolic DNA and activates the STING pathway, leading to the production of type I interferons (such as IFN-β) and various proinflammatory cytokines, which play critical roles in antiviral immunity [1].
Prasugrel inhibits TLR7-driven autoimmunity in systemic lupus erythematosus by acetylating cGAS
|
Abstract Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) has a complex, multifactorial etiology, which contributes to a lack of definitive cure and limited treatment efficacy. Here, we report that cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS) is significantly activated in SLE patients. We further demonstrate that cGAS deletion protects mice from lupus-like symptoms induced by the TLR7 agonist imiquimod (IMQ). In a screen of 3,159 FDA-approved drugs, we identify the antiplatelet agent prasugrel as a potent cGAS inhibitor.

Immunometabolic determinants of long-term response in leukemia patients receiving CD19 CAR T cell therapy - Nature Communications
|
Abstract Although most patients with relapsed/refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) receiving CD19-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy achieve remission, loss of CAR T cell functionality and subsequent relapse remains an unmet therapeutic need. Herein, we apply an integrative approach to study the immunometabolism of pre- and post-infusion CD19-CAR T cells of patients with relapsed/refractory B-ALL.

Gamma-glutamyl transferase to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio and endometriosis: a population-based study
Abstract Background The gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) to high-density lipoprotein (HDL) ratio (GGT/HDL) has recently emerged as a potential biomarker for metabolic and liver diseases. This study aimed to investigate the association between GGT/HDL ratio and endometriosis using a population-based dataset from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Methods Data from NHANES 1999 to 2006 were used to assess the relationship between the GGT/HDL ratio and endometriosis.

How Home is Made: On Living Off-Campus at Bates
Trash goes in the bin, and it’s never seen again. Dirty Frye street bathrooms become pristine every week. Paying rent, cooking, cleaning, garbage day. For most of my life, these facts sounded both so close yet so far from me. I knew they had to be done, but they remained far outside of my responsibilities. Out of sight, out of mind. Along with other Bates students, I have had the privilege of avoiding domestic maintenance for most of my life.
Digging Past Small Talk

Or maybe you’re at a strange table in Commons, pushing around your vegan pad thai instead of small talk. Small as our campus seems, the social freedom presented to you can feel overwhelming. You are hungry to know more about the people who will share a home with you for the next four years.

Boosting biological hydrogen production by integrating functionally symbiotic bacteria/algae with engineered nitrogen-doped carbon dots† Although biological hydrogen (bioH2) represents a promising green energy source, its production faces significant challenges, including non-spontaneous generation in heterotrophic microorganisms, inhibition of hydrogenases and inefficient photoelectron transfer in photoautotrophic microorganisms.

GPD1L‐Mediated Glycerophospholipid Metabolism Dysfunction in Women With Diminished Ovarian Reserve: Insights From Pseudotargeted Metabolomic Analysis of Follicular Fluid
1 Introduction The ovary, the crucial reproductive organ for maintaining female fertility and endocrine function, also ages earlier than most other tissues in females [1], and ovarian function highly depends on ovarian reserve. Diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) involves a reduction in both the oocyte quantity and quality, which may result in female infertility, endocrine function disorders, osteoporosis, coronary heart disease and several other health issues [2].
