BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - 10-year-old Legend Simmons ran a 49.25 in the 300 at a track meet held at Wenonah High School in May, the fastest time by a runner in his age group in the entire country this season. “What I enjoy most about it is the competition and when I get to run,” Legend said. Legend has been working with his father, Larry, to develop his talent. Larry has a background in track and works with several athletes in the Birmingham area as a speed coach.
