Cross-protective human antibodies against the Mpox virus discovered through structure-guided screening
Abstract Mpox virus (MPXV) poses an increasing global health threat, as underscored by two World Health Organization declarations of Public Health Emergencies of International Concern, particularly after the emergence of a novel Clade Ib strain that exhibited high human-to-human transmissibility in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. However, the treatment options for MPXV infection remain extremely limited.
Programmable radio-frequency calculations in electromagnetic-wave domain
Abstract Information metasurfaces have emerged as pivotal components in next-generation electronic systems. However, current research is mainly focused on the physical structures and system functions, while radio-frequency signal processing and calculation remain constrained to digital-domain operations. The reliance on digital conversion inherently increases the hardware complexity and power consumption.

Nucleic acid fluorescent probes for telomerase assay
Abstract Telomerase is a critical enzyme that maintains chromosomal stability and cellular proliferative activity, playing a crucial role in cell division, aging, and carcinogenesis. Nucleic acid fluorescent probe technology, celebrated for its high specificity and sensitivity, has become an essential tool for telomerase detection. This review comprehensively explores the application and recent advancements of nucleic acid fluorescent probes in telomerase sensing.
Pixelated quantum-dot superlattice LEDs
Abstract Quantum dot (QD) superlattices offer collective optoelectronic properties distinct from disordered solids1,2,3,4, but their integration into high-resolution display devices remains elusive because of difficulties in achieving spatially defined, structurally coherent thin films. Here we report a scalable strategy for fabricating pixelated perovskite QD (PeQD) superlattice thin-film arrays that feature in-plane long-range order, vertical confinement and precise spatial patterning.
Deep convolutional and fully-connected DNA neural networks - Nature Communications
Abstract DNA molecules can be used to build “neural networks” that function like the brain, enabling them to perform complex computational tasks. However, a fundamental limitation of existing DNA networks is that their most basic computing units cannot perform true continuous and precise analog calculations, which restricts their ability to process complex information effectively. To address this, here we develop a DNA computing unit called CALCUL.
Tunable strong coupling between excitons and magnetic Mie mode in 2D perovskite/silicon core/shell nanostructure
Low optical loss and high refractive index semiconductor materials are ideal for light-matter interactions at the nanoscale. In this work, we propose a two-dimensional perovskite core and silicon shell structure to study strong coupling between the perovskite exciton and magnetic Mie mode of the silicon shell.

Adaptively programmable metasurface for intelligent wireless communications in complex environments - Nature Communications
Abstract The programmable metasurface or reconfigurable intelligent surface is one of the emerging technologies for next-generation wireless communications, but the existing programmable metasurfaces still rely on human control to reshape the electromagnetic (EM) environment as desired. Here, we propose an adaptively programmable metasurface (APM), which integrates the capabilities of acquiring wireless environment information and manipulating the EM waves in programmable manners.

Business Environment Optimization, Digital Transformation, and Enterprises’ Green Innovation
1. Introduction After more than four decades of reform and opening up, China’s economic development has yielded remarkable outcomes. By 2024, it had maintained its position as the world’s largest manufacturing nation for 14 consecutive years. Nevertheless, despite the rapid growth of the macro-level economy, a range of unsustainable factors are gradually surfacing at the micro level, including low resource-conversion efficiency, outdated technology, and severe environmental pollution.

Uncovering pre-sensitizing agents to FLT3 inhibitors in acute myeloid leukemia with ReSisTrace lineage tracing
Abstract While FLT3 inhibitors have significantly improved the treatment of aggressive FLT3-mutated acute myeloid leukemia (AML), the emergence of resistance remains as a major challenge. Here, we applied our recently developed single-cell lineage-tracing method ReSisTrace to identify cells that are pre-resistant or pre-sensitive to FLT3 inhibitors midostaurin and quizartinib in FLT3-ITD-positive AML.
Self-referencing refractive index sensor based on graphene-assisted TAMM plasmon cavity resonance
In this Letter, we report TAMM plasmonic polaritons (TPPs) generated by few-layer MoS2 with a distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) structure in the terahertz frequency region by utilizing the transfer matrix method (TMM) and finite element method (FEM). By inserting a mono-graphene embedded cavity layer, we realize the graphene-induced mode strong coupling (GCM), which is a strategy of a refractive index sensor by optimizing the cavity layer spacing.

A synthetic moving-envelope metasurface antenna for independent control of arbitrary harmonic orders - Nature Communications
Abstract Flexible frequency controls are crucial in many photonic and electronic applications, ranging from communications systems, spectroscopy, and metrology to quantum information processing. However, the state-of-the-art solutions based on nonlinear bulk media, electro-optic effect, and nonlinear metasurfaces incur very limited spectral controllability, and merely a couple of harmonic orders can be independently manipulated.

Abstract Independent controls of various properties of electromagnetic (EM) waves are crucially required in a wide range of applications. Programmable metasurface is a promising candidate to provide an advanced platform for manipulating EM waves. Here, we propose an approach that can arbitrarily control the polarization direction and phases of reflected waves in linear and nonlinear ways using a stacked programmable metasurface.

Spatiotemporal transcriptomic changes of human ovarian aging and the regulatory role of FOXP1 - Nature Aging
Abstract Limited understanding exists regarding how aging impacts the cellular and molecular aspects of the human ovary. This study combines single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics to systematically characterize human ovarian aging. Spatiotemporal molecular signatures of the eight types of ovarian cells during aging are observed. An analysis of age-associated changes in gene expression reveals that DNA damage response may be a key biological pathway in oocyte aging.
Radar Micro‐Doppler Signature Generation Based on Time‐Domain Digital Coding Metasurface
1 Introduction Doppler effect describes a phenomenon, in which the carrier frequency of echoes produces a frequency shift relative to that of the incident signals when there is a relative radial motion between the source and radar target.[1] Besides the bulk motion of the target, some local parts of the target also exhibit oscillatory motions, named micro-motions, resulting in additional Doppler shifts known as micro-Doppler effects.[2] Distinguished from the Doppler shift that reflects the...

Tracing back primed resistance in cancer via sister cells - Nature Communications
Abstract Exploring non-genetic evolution of cell states during cancer treatments has become attainable by recent advances in lineage-tracing methods. However, transcriptional changes that drive cells into resistant fates may be subtle, necessitating high resolution analysis. Here, we present ReSisTrace that uses shared transcriptomic features of sister cells to predict the states priming treatment resistance.

Surgery based on computed tomography images might be feasible for primary aldosteronism patients with visible unilateral adenoma
1 INTRODUCTION Primary aldosteronism (PA) is one of the leading causes of secondary hypertension, accounting for 5%−15% of the hypertensive population.1-3 Patients with PA have higher cardiovascular morbidity and mortality than blood-pressure-matched primary hypertension.4, 5 Therefore, early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of PA are crucial for preventing deleterious cardiovascular outcomes.
Manipulations of multi-frequency waves and signals via multi-partition asynchronous space-time-coding digital metasurface - Nature Communications
Abstract Manipulations of multiple carrier frequencies are especially important in a variety of fields like radar detection and wireless communications. In conventional radio-frequency architecture, the multi-frequency control is implemented by microwave circuits, which are hard to integrate with antenna apertures, thus bringing the problems of expensive system and high power consumption.
