AN-465 is a novel N6-methyladenosine inhibitor for the treatment of hand, foot, and mouth disease
Abstract Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a significant infectious condition with no effective therapeutic agents currently available. Previous research has shown that inhibiting m6A can suppress the replication of Enterovirus 71 (EV71), the primary pathogen of HFMD. In this study, we identified a promising compound, AN465, superior to existing m6A inhibitor through a screening of 2.2 million compounds.
Weakening trend of Tibetan Plateau winter surface cold source driven by anthropogenic forcing in a warming climate
Abstract It is well known that the Tibetan Plateau (TP) has experienced a pronounced and spatially coherent surface warming during boreal winter, second only to that over the Arctic. However, how the thermodynamic forcing of the TP has changed remains poorly understood. In this study, the TP surface potential vorticity forcing (TP-SPV*) is used to quantify changes in TP forcing. The long-term trends and associated attribution analysis of TP surface forcing during the past 70 years are investigated.
Temporal self-similarity reveals percolation universality classes in complex networks
Abstract Catastrophic fragmentation and structural transitions are ubiquitous in real-world complex systems, yet their underlying universality classes remain largely elusive due to strong structural heterogeneity and the absence of well-defined critical thresholds. Here, we discover a robust phenomenon of temporal self-similarity governing the dynamic percolation process across diverse complex networks.
Community structure-regulation coupling reveals optimal information diffusion
Abstract Effective regulation of information diffusion in complex social systems requires balancing containment and intervention cost, yet how network community structure interacts with targeted interventions remains unclear. We develop a community structure-regulation coupling framework (COSREF) that integrates community structure with process-level regulation of transmission and show how their interplay governs diffusion.
Dose rounding of trastuzumab deruxtecan in chinese patients: cost savings and safety outcomes in real-world study
Abstract Trastuzumab deruxtecan is a life-saving but costly therapy for HER2-positive cancers. While dose rounding strategies have been proposed to reduce drug waste, their safety and cost-saving potential in real-world Chinese patients remain understudied. This study aimed to evaluate the cost savings of dose rounding for trastuzumab deruxtecan in China and compare the safety profiles of upward rounding, downward rounding, and no rounding groups.
Non-critical phase-matched 1.47 µm nanosecond optical parametric oscillator pumped at 1030 nm
A high-energy nanosecond optical parametric oscillator (OPO) operating at 1.47 µm under non-critical phase-matching (NCPM) conditions is demonstrated using a 1030 nm pump. Using a KTA-based OPO pumped by a single-frequency 1030 nm nanosecond laser at a repetition rate of 500 Hz, a maximum signal pulse energy of 6.6 mJ at 1.47 µm was achieved, accompanied by an idler output of 1.6 mJ at 3.4 µm, corresponding to a total parametric conversion efficiency of 39%.

Enhancing the predictability limits of ENSO with physics-guided deep echo state networks - npj Climate and Atmospheric Science
Abstract The El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is a dominant mode of interannual climate variability, yet the mechanisms limiting its long-lead predictability remain unclear. Here, we develop a physics-guided Deep Echo State Network (DESN) that operates on physically interpretable climate modes selected from the extended recharge oscillator (XRO) framework. DESN achieves skillful Niño 3.4 predictions up to 16–20 months ahead with minimal computational cost.

Separation and Identification of Impurity of Chlortetracycline Hydrochloride Not Included in the European Pharmacopoeia
1 Introduction Tetracycline antibiotics (TCs) are natural broad-spectrum antibiotics derived from Streptomyces strains (Connell et al. 2002; Eric et al. 2021; Yifei and Qian 2019), exerting their bactericidal action through the specific binding to the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunits, thereby inhibiting the growth of peptide chains and disrupting biosynthesis of bacterial proteins (Brodersen et al. 2000; Weiliang et al. 2022). Chlortetracycline, a member of the TCs (Zhao et al.

Computational discovery of fast interstitial oxygen conductors - Nature Materials
Abstract New highly oxygen-active materials may enhance many energy-related technologies by enabling efficient oxygen-ion transport at lower temperatures, for example, below ~400 °C. Interstitial oxygen conductors have the potential to realize such performance but have received far less attention than vacancy-mediated conductors.

Layer-dependent excellent thermoelectric materials: from monolayer to trilayer tellurium based on DFT calculation
1 Introduction Two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials have become a hotspot in research since the discovery of graphene (Geim, 2009; Abergel et al., 2010), hexagonal BN (Meziani et al., 2015; Zhang et al., 2017a), transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) (Zhang et al., 2017b), and so on (Meziani et al., 2015; Wang et al., 2023; Zhang et al., 2023). This can be attributed to their distinctive layer-related and thermal properties (Gu et al., 2017).

Extrasynaptic signaling enables an asymmetric juvenile motor circuit to produce symmetric undulation
In many animals, there is a direct correspondence between the motor patterns that drive locomotion and the motor neuron innervation. For example, the adult C. elegans moves with symmetric and alternating dorsal-ventral bending waves arising from symmetric motor neuron input onto the dorsal and ventral muscles. In contrast to the adult, the C.
Comparison of a high-power 3.75 µm BaGa4Se7 OPO based on a plane-parallel resonator and an unstable resonator with a Gaussian reflectivity mirror
Abstract Using a homemade Nd:YAG laser with a pulse repetition frequency of 300 Hz as a pump source, we demonstrated a tunable ${{\rm BaGa}_4}{{\rm Se}_7}$ (BGSe) optical parametric oscillator (OPO). Wavelength-tuning ranges of 1.42–1.59 µm and 3.21–4.22 µm were realized, and a maximum average output power of 1.03 W at 3746 nm was achieved in a plane-parallel resonator. To date, this is the highest output power at around 4 µm obtained from a BGSe OPO pumped by a 1 µm laser, to our knowledge.
Percolation analysis of the atmospheric structure
Abstract The atmosphere is a thermo-hydrodynamical complex system and provides oxygen to most animal life at the Earth's surface. However, the detection of complexity for the atmosphere remains elusive and debated. Here we develop a percolation-based framework to explore its structure by using the global air temperature field. We find that the percolation threshold is much delayed compared with the prototypical percolation model and the giant cluster eventually emerges explosively.

Structure reconstruction of metal/alloy in reaction conditions: a volcano curve?
Structure reconstruction of metal/alloy in reaction conditions: a volcano curve?† Recent in situ works have shown extensive evidence of the dramatic and reversible structure reconstructions of metal and alloy materials in reaction conditions. The reconstructions are of primary interest because they could lead to alternative catalytic mechanisms during real reactions. However, how the catalyst structure evolves under the pressures relevant to industrial applications (>1 atm) is so far unexplored.
Predicting Protein Functions Based on Differential Co-expression and Neighborhood Analysis
1. Introduction Proteins are the most versatile macromolecules in living systems. Knowledge of protein functions is crucial in downstream analysis and applications such as disease analysis and drug development (Yu et al., 2017). However, accurate and comprehensive assignment of biological functions to proteins is a challenging task in functional genomics. This is due to availability of many labels for each protein and because biological knowledge rapidly evolves (Yu et al., 2015).

Universal gap scaling in percolation
Abstract Universality is a principle that fundamentally underlies many critical phenomena, ranging from epidemic spreading to the emergence or breakdown of global connectivity in networks. Percolation, the transition to global connectedness on gradual addition of links, may exhibit substantial gaps in the size of the largest connected network component. We uncover that the largest gap statistics is governed by extreme-value theory.

Unexpected Refacetting of Palladium Nanoparticles under Atmospheric N2 Condition
We demonstrate an unexpected refacetting process of Pd nanoparticles induced by N2 under atmospheric pressure at elevated temperature by in situ TEM observation. The morphology change with a notable increase of Pd {110} facets fraction was visualized by the atomic-scale TEM images and further explained by theoretical calculations. The firm evidences and the rational understandings revealed that the “inert” gas N2 has the ability to modify the structure of metal nanoparticles.
Reconstruction of Supported Metal Nanoparticles in Reaction Conditions
Metal nanoparticles (NPs) dispersed on a high‐surface‐area support are normally used as heterogeneous catalysts. Recent in situ experiments have shown that structure reconstruction of the NP occurs in real catalysis. However, the role played by supports in these processes is still unclear. Supports can be very important in real catalysis because of the new active sites at the perimeter interface between nanoparticles and supports.
