Absolute Test-Retest Reliability of the Sit-And-Reach Tests in Healthy Individuals: A Systematic Review with Meta-Analysis
ABSTRACT The sit-and-reach test is one of the most commonly used field tests to assess flexibility, however, questions remain regarding the consistency of its measurement across populations. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the impact of potential moderators on the absolute test-retest reliability of sit-and-reach tests in healthy individuals. The main finding was that no evidence of moderation was observed for test–retest interval or test protocol (standard vs.
Nedap launches Nedap Way: secure building access with its next-generation reader line
Access control is increasingly software-driven, but the reader at the door remains the point where technology meets people. It is the point where a person presents a credential, receives feedback, and either moves on or needs to try again. That moment should feel simple and certain, even when the underlying access environment is complex. Nedap Way was designed with this experience in mind.

Structural insights into a dual-substrate O -methyltransferase reveal the enzymatic mechanism of parallel paeonol biosynthesis
Abstract Paeonol, the medicinal indicator component of the traditional Chinese medicine ‘Mudanpi’, has an incompletely elucidated biosynthetic pathway, particularly its post-modification steps. Specifically, the post-modification processes involve 4′-O-methylation and 2′-hydroxylation, thus the formation can occur either sequentially or in parallel. Here, using integrated transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses, we identify a key dual-substrate 4′-O-methyltransferase, PoOMT1, in Paeonia ostii.
Blood Flow Restricted Resistance Exercise Reduces the Performance of Contralateral Homologous Muscles
ABSTRACT To examine whether resistance exercise with blood flow restriction (BFR) impairs performance in the contralateral limb and whether this effect depends on the presence of contraction. 30 individuals (19–31 years) completed three laboratory visits. During two experimental visits, participants performed four randomized experimental conditions.

Main text (Immunity 59, 2500–2514.e1–e8; September 8, 2026) In the originally published version of this article, an error during figure assembly resulted in an unintended image duplication in the lower row (mel-PD-L1−/−) of Figure 4C. This has now been corrected using the correct images from the original experimental data.

Identification of key candidate genes for body weight traits in male Dongfeng sika deer based on genome-wide association analysis
Abstract This study aimed to identify genetic markers for body weight in adult male Dongfeng sika deer (Cervus nippon) using a genome-wide association study (GWAS). A cohort of 266 healthy, five-year-old stags was phenotyped and genotyped via whole-genome resequencing. Population structure was assessed, and a mixed linear model (MLM) was employed for association testing, followed by Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses of candidate genes.

A 73‐Year‐Old Man With Intermittent Dysphagia and Esophageal Wall Thickening: What Is the Diagnosis?
1 Case Presentation A 73-year-old man presented with over a year of intermittent dysphagia with solid foods, accompanied by occasional regurgitation and unintentional 10-kg weight loss. He denied any odynophagia, chest pain, or other symptoms. Prior endoscopy revealed a subepithelial bulge in the distal esophagus, and chest computed tomography (CT) suggested a mass-like lesion, raising suspicion for malignancy.

Structure‐Guided Engineering of a Promiscuous O‐Methyltransferase for a SAM Regeneration Biocatalysis Platform of Methylated Pharmaceuticals
1 Introduction The methyl group is one of the most prevalent substituents in drug molecules, surpassed only by hydrogen and nitrogen [1]. According to statistical information from the Njardarson group, more than half of the top 200 best-selling small-molecule drugs in 2023 contained at least one methyl group [2]. Despite its small size, the methyl group exerts a profound impact on the molecular properties of the drugs.

Decline Trends of Chlorophyll-a in the Yellow and Bohai Seas Over 2005-2024 from Remote Sensing Reconstruction
Chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) concentration is a key indicator of coastal ecosystem health. Its spatio-temporal variability not only reflects primary productivity but also represents the ecosystem’s integrated response to climate change and human activities. To quantify long-term Chl-a trends in the Yellow and Bohai Seas and to identify regional differences across concentration levels, this study used a multi-source remote sensing reconstruction dataset generated with deep learning algorithms.
Mechanically steered photon upconversion and circularly polarized luminescence in stretchable photonic crystal films - Nature Communications
Abstract Photon-upconverted circularly polarized luminescence (UC-CPL) based on triplet-triplet annihilation (TTA) holds considerable promise for innovative applications. However, existing strategies encounter difficulties in concurrently achieving tunable TTA photon upconversion (TTA-UC) performance and a high luminescence dissymmetry factor (glum) in the solid state. In this study, we design and fabricate flexible and stable upconverted stretchable photonic crystal (SPC) films.
Enhanced visualization of ex-vivo ocular tissues using spatial-phase-resolved optical coherence microscopy
The use of high numerical aperture (NA) objective lenses in optical coherence microscopy (OCM), while offering high lateral resolution, inherently limits the depth of focus (DOF) within the sample. While computational methods can extend the DOF, they typically require high spatial-phase stability, which limits their applicability to point-scanning OCM systems due to phase distortions from mechanical scanning.

Dual-camera spectrometer with balanced detection for enhanced retinal OCT imaging in the living mouse eye
We developed a spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) system featuring a custom dual-camera spectrometer (DCS) for balanced detection (BD) to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio in imaging. Compared to traditional single detection, the BD approach with the calibrated DCS achieves a 15.35 dB reduction in noise floor when using a supercontinuum laser. The axial resolution of the system reaches 2.9/2.2 μm in air/tissue, with a 6-dB sensitivity roll-off depth of ∼1.36 mm.

Quantitative prediction of optical static refractive index in complex oxides - npj Computational Materials
Abstract The optical static refractive index, a critical intrinsic property of materials, plays a vital role in advanced optoelectronic applications. Accurate prediction of this index is essential for the efficient design and optimization of materials with tailored optical properties. Here, we present a robust predictive model that accurately forecasts the optical static refractive indices of complex oxides across diverse crystal structures and compositions.
