Mapping hippocampal subfield heterogeneity across neurological disorders by normative modeling
Abstract The hippocampus serves as a hub of cognition, and its subfields differ in their susceptibility to aging and neurological disorders. Here, we established normative references for hippocampal and subfield volumes using 3D T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans from 34,789 healthy individuals (range from 4 to 85 years), revealing varied peak ages (27.4-40.1 years) across subfields.
Spatiotemporal delivery of immune-synapse-stabilizing NK cells for postoperative tumor therapy
Abstract Natural killer (NK) cells eliminate target cells by forming an immunological synapse (IS). Here, we equip NK cells with multivalent galectin-3 binding polymers that resemble prehensile “arms” to mechanically reinforce the NK-to-target tumor cell connection. These armed NK cells (a-NKs) stabilize the IS by extending average duration of cell-cell contacts.
Molecular basis of coronary artery disease–malignancy comorbidity: inflammation, immunometabolism, thrombosis, and cardio-oncology translation
Abstract Coronary artery disease (CAD) and malignancy frequently coexist in aging populations and share multiple risk factors, including smoking, obesity, diabetes, dyslipidemia, chronic inflammation, and metabolic dysfunction.

Genome-wide identification and expression analysis of HMAs gene family in tobacco under abiotic stress
Abstract The heavy metal ATPase (HMA) family, classified as P1B-ATPases, plays a pivotal role in maintaining plant metal homeostasis by coupling ATP hydrolysis to the active transport of metal ions across biological membranes. However, comprehensive characterization of the HMA family in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) remains insufficient. In this study, we conducted a systematic genome-wide bioinformatic analysis and identified 27 HMA-encoding genes in tobacco, designated NtHMA1 through NtHMA27.

A Bayesian Approach to Total Least‐Squares in Perturbed Compressive Sensing
This paper introduces a Bayesian total least-squares (B-TLS) formulation to address the perturbed compressive sensing problem. Due to the presence of a nonconvex nonseparable penalty, applying the traditional alternating minimization method to this formulation poses mathematical and computational challenges. To mitigate this problem, we propose a Bayesian proximal alternating linearized minimization (BPALM) algorithm.

Leveling The Playing Field in Youth Basketball: How Compensa
The relative age effect (RAE) may significantly impact youth basketball participation, with players born earlier in the selection year overrepresented at elite levels (Campo et al., 2010; Williams, 2010). This effect is particularly pronounced during adolescence and increases with performance level (Bozděch et al., 2023).
Response Analysis and Vibration Suppression of Fractional Viscoelastic Shape Memory Alloy Spring Oscillator Under Harmonic Excitation
1. Introduction Viscoelastic materials, distinct from purely viscous substances and elastomers, exhibit both strain sensitivity and spring-like elastic characteristics. These unique properties have led to their widespread application across various research domains [1,2,3]. Recently, there has been a growing interest in integrating viscoelasticity into engineering systems, such as mechanical and machinery systems, to gain a more comprehensive understanding of their dynamic responses [4,5].

Design and Simulation Study of Structural Parameters of Bionic Cutters for Tea Harvest Imitating Aeolesthes induta Newman
1. Introduction In the 21st century, tea, a healthy drink, has become more popular in countries around the world [1]. China is the world’s largest tea producing country and tea consumption market [2]. However, with the acceleration of global population aging, there is a shortage of tea farmers’ labor and resulting low efficiency. At the same time, tea harvesting is the most time-consuming work in tea making. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the mechanization level of tea harvesting.

Allogeneic “Zombie Cell” as Off‐The‐Shelf Vaccine for Postsurgical Cancer Immunotherapy
1 Introduction Tumor vaccines using defined antigens have long been employed to treat cancers by mobilizing host immunity.[1] However, the heterogeneity and complexity of antigens across patients as well as the high expense of identifying patient-specific antigen mutations impede their widespread clinical use.[2] To overcome these limitations, autologous tumors have been used to produce whole tumor cell vaccines (namely personalized cancer vaccines).[3] These encompass the full repertoire of...

Development of a New Response Spectrum Analysis Approach for Determining Elastic Shear Demands on Shear-Dominated Steel Building Frames
Abstract : This research is focused on improving the conventional response spectrum analysis (CRSA) method for the elastic shear demands estimation of shear-dominated steel building frames. An alternative approach named the improved response spectrum analysis (IRSA) method is proposed and validated in this paper. A simplified procedure to capture the dynamic features of a continuous shear beam (CSB) with stepped stiffness is first presented, and then validated.
Review of On-Orbit Robotic Arm Active Debris Capture Removal Methods

Robotic arm active debris capture removal (RA-ADCR) is a noteworthy technology for containing the dramatic increase in space debris and maintaining orbital safety. This review divides the RA-ADCR technology progress history into three periods and presents the status of related research.
Current strategy of SARS-CoV-2 molecular detection
Current strategy of SARS-CoV-2 molecular detection Lei Xie, Junlin Li, Ying Ai, Haolan He, Xiuyun Chen, Mingyu Yin, Wanxi Li, Wenguan Huang, Minyi Luo and Jinyang He Abstract Molecular detection of the SARS-CoV-2 is extremely important for the discovery and prevention of the pandemic dissemination. Because the SARS-CoV-2 is not always present in samples that can be collected, the samples chosen for testing has inevitably become the key to the SARS-CoV-2 positive cases screening.
Ultrasound-assisted Liquid-Liquid Spray Extraction for the Determination of Multi-class Trace Organic Compounds in High-volume Water Samples
In order to extract trace organic compounds (TrOCs) from large volumes of water (over 10 L), an ultrasound-assisted liquid-liquid spray extraction (UA-LLSE) technique is proposed. The UA-LLSE integrates liquid-liquid extraction, spray atomisation and ultrasonication into a single step. Under acoustic field, water sample is continuously spray injected into an extracting organic solvent to generate numerous water microdroplets in the organic phase.
