Endothelial markers are associated with disseminated intravascular coagulation progression and clinical outcomes in sepsis
Abstract Progression of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is associated with poor outcomes in sepsis. Given the central role of endothelial injury in sepsis-associated coagulopathy, we investigated the associations of endothelium-related markers with DIC progression and clinical prognosis. In this prospective study, serum heparan sulfate (HS), hyaluronic acid (HA), syndecan-1 (SDC-1), and angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2) were measured in 324 septic patients.
High-sensitivity deep shortwave infrared organic photodetectors enabled by selenium-integrated quinoidal molecular semiconductor
Abstract Developing organic photodetectors (OPDs) that can detect in deep shortwave infrared (deep-SWIR) region (1.2–1.6 μm) is technologically important. Yet, the performance of the state-of-the-art deep-SWIR OPDs remains substantially limited. Herein, we report a selenium-integrated quinoidal small molecular acceptor, SeBz-4Cl, enabling highly sensitive deep-SWIR photodetection.
Inferring tumor dependency maps from histopathology through imputed transcriptomics
Abstract Gene dependency maps from cancer cell lines define context-specific essential genes, but comparable dependencies in tumors remain largely inaccessible. This gap limits the identification of actionable therapeutic vulnerabilities. Here we present a two-stage deep learning framework that transfers cell-line dependency knowledge to tumors by imputing transcriptomic states from routine whole slide images (WSIs).

Comparison of Modified Oblique Lateral Interbody Fusion and Posterior‐Only Approach in the Treatment of Degenerative Lumbar Scoliosis
1 Introduction Degenerative lumbar scoliosis (DLS) is characterized by coronal scoliosis with a Cobb angle exceeding 10° [1]. Surgical intervention is typically necessary to alleviate symptoms, correct both coronal and sagittal deformities, and restore spinal balance [2]. The traditional posterior-only approach, involving various osteotomies, has been a robust surgical technique for treating spinal deformities [3].

Distal Junctional Failures in Degenerative Thoracolumbar Hyperkyphosis
Introduction Thoracic kyphosis is the normal curvature of the thoracic spine in the sagittal plane, which tends to increase with age. In younger adults, the range of curvature is between 20° and 30°, using the Cobb angle as a measurement of kyphosis. In adults over the age of 40, the curvature may gradually increase above 40°.1 Hyperkyphosis refers to excessive curvature of the thoracic spine. However, there is currently no universally accepted definition for hyperkyphosis.

Application of CNN-LSTM Algorithm for PM2.5 Concentration Forecasting in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan Area
1. Introduction The rapid development of industrialization and the economy has made it difficult to solve the problem of air pollution in some cities in China, such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region (Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei areas) [1,2,3]. In addition, prolonged exposure to high concentrations of suspended fine particulate matter in the air, especially fine particulate matter with a diameter of less than 2.5 μm (PM2.5), can cause serious harm to human health.

Non-dispersive infrared multi-gas sensing via nanoantenna integrated narrowband detectors
Abstract Non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) spectroscopy analyzes the concentration of target gases based on their characteristic infrared absorption. In conventional NDIR gas sensors, an infrared detector has to pair with a bandpass filter to select the target gas. However, multiplexed NDIR gas sensing requires multiple pairs of bandpass filters and detectors, which makes the sensor bulky and expensive.
