PABPC1 dictates castration sensitivity in prostate cancer via orchestrating ferroptosis resistance and CD8(+) T-cell dysfunction
Abstract Resistance to next-generation androgen receptor antagonists represents a major clinical challenge in prostate cancer (PCa), underscoring the need to define its underlying mechanisms. Here, through an integrated analysis of multiple cohorts, we identify PABPC1 as an RNA-binding protein upregulated in therapy-resistant tumors, whose expression correlates with adverse clinicopathological features.
Bouncing forward after failure: Entrepreneurial team resilience and venture growth in high-tech ventures
ABSTRACT Building upon the conservation of resource theory, we examined how entrepreneurial team resilience influences entrepreneurial venture growth through team task crafting within the context of entrepreneurial project failure in China. We also explored how hindrance stressors moderate this relationship. We collected three waves of data from 168 teams in high-tech entrepreneurial ventures in Yangtze River Delta region of China.
Hippo-YAP1 dysregulation contributes to cigarette smoke-induced prostate cancer stemness, reversed by metformin
Abstract Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most diagnosed malignancy in men globally. While large-scale cohort studies report no increase in overall PCa incidence among smokers, cigarette smoke is consistently recognized as a critical risk factor for poorer clinical outcomes and aggressive progression in patients with established PCa, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms remain elusive. Here, we investigate whether Hippo-YAP1 signaling serves as one potential pathway mediating these effects.
A Robust Multi-Objective Path Optimization Model for Railway Hazardous Materials Transportation Considering Risk Equity and Carbon Emissions
You are already at the latest version Railway transportation of hazardous materials (HazMat) exhibits a characteristic “low-probability, high-consequence” risk profile, compounded by spatially inequitable risk distribution across the network and increasingly stringent carbon emission constraints. Achieving synergistic optimization across safety, equity, and low-carbon dimensions constitutes a critical and unresolved scientific challenge.
Study on Bayesian network evaluation method for human reliability analysis in ship control room
Abstract Reducing human error can improve the human-machine operation reliability of ship digital systems. Accurately evaluating the human reliability level of a ship’s digital system has an important impact on reducing the occurrence of human error. In this study, a method was developed to assess the human reliability of ship operators.
Elimination of detrimental grain boundary segregation in Garnets
|
Abstract Garnet Li7La3Zr2O12 electrolyte is considered a key enabler of solid-state batteries with Li metal electrodes, but the grain boundaries impair its performance. To date, the understanding of grain boundary structures and its impact on performance remains elusive. Here, we show that element segregation at Li7La3Zr2O12 grain boundaries critically governs Li transport and nucleation.

Momentum Stochastic Gradient Algorithm With Data Filtering for Generalized Time-Varying Systems
1 Introduction Modeling plays an important role in control theory and applications. System identification can construct mathematical models from measurement data [1-4]. In the past, many approaches were focused on the time-invariant systems [5-9]. However, time-varying characteristics exist in practical engineering applications, and the parameter variation of the controlled system is very common, which makes the model establishment more complicated [10].
Ultra-narrowband perovskite single-crystal photodetector enabled by dynamic space charge region for portable concentration detection
Abstract Narrowband photodetectors with wavelength-selective light response are essential for applications involving environmental monitoring and biomedical sensing. Although perovskites with excellent optoelectronic characteristics and tunable bandgaps have been demonstrated as promising candidates for the realization of narrowband detection, their practical performance still lags behind the combination of traditional photodetectors with optical filters.
Arterial stenosis and electrophysiological nerve dysfunction in type 2 diabetes: clinical evidence from GEE models and transcriptomic pathway analysis
Abstract Background: Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is a common disabling complication of type 2 diabetes (T2D), yet the contribution of systemic arterial stenosis to electrophysiological nerve dysfunction remains incompletely characterized. Objective: To examine whether carotid arterial stenosis (CASD) and lower-limb arterial stenosis (LWASD) are associated with multi-nerve conduction abnormalities in T2D, and to explore supportive molecular signatures using transcriptomic analysis.

PDHA1–acetylation signaling suppresses cuproptosis to attenuate anti-androgen effect in prostate cancer - Cell Death & Disease
Abstract Acquired resistance to enzalutamide (Enz) presents a significant challenge in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), and overcoming this resistance remains an unmet clinical need. Here, we identified cuproptosis, a copper-dependent mechanism of regulated cell death, as a key driver of Enz resistance. Both in vitro and in vivo models demonstrated that pyruvate dehydrogenase E1 alpha subunit (PDHA1) serves as a critical modulator of cuproptosis and Enz sensitivity.
The transcription factor EHF promotes the maturation and immunosuppression of conventional dendritic cells - Nature Communications
Abstract The transcriptional program that regulates immunosuppression in CCR7+ conventional dendritic cells (cDCs) is currently unknown. Here, we identify ETS homologous factor (EHF) as a transcription factor that regulates cDC maturation and immunosuppression after TLR7/8/9 stimulation. Mice with conditional deletion of EHF in DCs exhibit increased resistance to autoimmune, infection or tumor challenge.

NSUN2-mediated m5C modification of SOCS3 mRNA modulates macrophage polarization in bladder cancer - Cell Death & Disease
Abstract Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are pivotal in facilitating the progression of cancer cells. M1 and M2 are two polarization states of TAMs with opposite functions in tumor progression. While the regulatory role of N6-adenosine (m6A) methylation in macrophage polarization has been established, the function of 5-methylcytosine (m5C) remains unclear.
High-entropy perovskite oxides: Morphotropic phase boundary interfacial engineering for next-generation communications
Abstract Precise atomic-level control over interfacial charge density and lattice distortions remains a critical challenge across electromagnetism, optoelectronics, and catalysis. Here, we introduce a high-entropy strategy that leverages local compositional disorder to synergistically manipulate charge density distribution and lattice strain at anisotropic morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) interfaces.

Minimizing Surface Defects by Chemical Passivation for High‐Performance Perovskite/Silicon Tandem Solar Cells
As the pursuit for cost reduction of photovoltaic technologies goes on, the interest in high-efficiency Si-tandem solar cells has been strongly increasing, among which perovskite/silicon has demonstrated impressive results and prospects for further enhancements. However, the existence of deleterious defects at the surface of wide-bandgap perovskite films in the top solar cells dramatically impedes the potential industrial applications of perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells.

Regulating the content of Cu+ in Cu/CeO2 catalysts for the reverse water-gas shift reaction
Regulating the content of Cu+ in Cu/CeO2 catalysts for the reverse water–gas shift reaction The prominence of Cu/CeO2 catalysts in the RWGS reaction stems from Cu+ species and Cu–O–Ce solid solution (active toward both CO2 and H2). However, a reduction process is required for catalyst activation, which potentially causes excessive Cu+ reduction to Cu0 and damage to the Cu–O–Ce structure.
Analysis of Causal Relationships in Performance Shaping Factors Based on DEMATEL and Pearson Correlation Analysis Methods
Performance shaping factors (PSFs) are regarded as the causes and contributing factors that affect human errors in nuclear power plants. In order to improve the accuracy of human reliability assessment results, it is necessary to conduct research on the interrelationships among PSFs. This study determined PSFs affecting human errors based on operators’ cognitive process and inductive analysis.
