Chico vigils honor 2 men killed in Monday's library shooting

CHICO, Calif. - The community came together to remember the two men killed in Monday's shooting. Action News Now was at Tuesday night's vigil outside the library. About 100 people joined together to listen to prayerful songs. The vigil started at 8 p.m. at the Chico Library. Many people have left flowers and notes there, remembering the victims, Jacob Cody Hull and Robert Johnson. A second vigil was held at St. John's Episcopal Church on Floral Avenue in Chico.

CHICO, Calif. - Action News Now is learning about one of the two victims killed in the shooting at the Butte County Library in Chico. Action News Now interviewed the victim's brother, Benjamin, who asked us not to use his last name. Benjamin told Action News Now that his brother, Cody Hull, age 46, was one of the 2 people who were killed in the shooting on Monday. Hull is originally from Morro Bay in San Luis Obispo County and lived in Chico for years.

Police: Chico library shooting suspect wanted a Columbine-style massacre

CHICO, Calif. - The suspect arrested for the Chico Library shooting has been identified as 18-year-old Chico resident Bradley Scott Sayer. According to the Chico Police Department, Sayer has been arrested and booked into the Butte County Jail for two open counts of murder. Two adults were shot and killed, one juvenile was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police got the 911 call at 5:12 p.m. on Monday from the library in Chico.
