The Rogers County Health Department is now accepting registrations for its upcoming “Walk With Ease” program — an evidence-based intervention designed to help individuals with arthritis or related conditions reduce pain, increase strength and balance, and enhance overall well-being through guided walking. The program is completely free and limited to the first 20 adult participants. It begins Aug. 1 with weekly classes held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Claremore Community Center, 2301 N. Sioux Ave.

Water gushes out broken water main causing icy mess in Tulsa neighborhood

TULSA, Okla. – A broken water main in a Tulsa neighborhood caused an icy mess in a south Tulsa neighborhood. Neighbors reported water gushing from a waterline around 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the 7300 block of 73rd Ave East near 71st and Memorial. The water coming from the broken water main coated homes and trees in the area in a thick layer of ice. According to the City of Tulsa Waterline Break Board, a 12-inch line was damaged. There’s no word how long it will take to repair the waterline.
