A robust and accurate two-sample Mendelian randomization method with a large number of genetic variants
Abstract Horizontal pleiotropy poses challenges in Mendelian randomization (MR) by biasing causal estimates, particularly when using numerous instrumental variables (IVs). We propose MRZ, a method that leverages IV-outcome association z-scores modeled as a mixture distribution to distinguish causal effects from IV-specific pleiotropy.

Fluorofenidone ameliorates pressure overload-induced heart failure by stabilizing SERCA2a in male mice
Abstract Reduced expression and activity of cardiac sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase 2a (SERCA2a), causing intracellular calcium dyshomeostasis, are regarded as hallmarks of heart failure (HF). However, effective SERCA2a-targeted therapies for HF treatment have not been identified. Here, we show that fluorofenidone, previously reported to enhance cell shortening, contraction and relaxation of cardiomyocytes by nearly 100%, prevents the progression of pressure overload-induced HF.

Three approaches to the Howe duality between quantum general linear supergroups
The Howe duality between quantum general linear supergroups was firstly established by Y. Zhang via quantum coordinate superalgebras. In this paper, we provide two additional approaches to this Howe duality. One is constructed by quantum differential operators, while the other is based on the Beilinson-Lusztig-MacPherson realization of . Moreover, we show that these three approaches are equivalent by giving their action formulas explicitly.
