Local cops hang out on Dunkin' Donuts rooftops for Special Olympics Indiana

TIPPECANOE CO., Ind.(WLFI) - If you drove by a local Dunkin' Donuts Friday,  you might have noticed something unusual, cops on the rooftop! It's all for a good cause and it's during National Police Week. The West Lafayette and Lafayette Police Departments participated in this year's 'Cop on a Rooftop' fundraiser. All proceeds go towards Special Olympics Indiana. Police officers were around and on top of the stores from 5 a.m. to noon. There are 20,000 Hoosier athletes in the Special Olympics.

Crawfordsville restaurant at total loss following overnight fire

Crawfordsville, Ind. (WLFI) - The Swick Team is looking to build from the ground up, following an overnight fire at Swick's Creekside BBQ. Police discovered the fire during routine rounds and responded immediately. The fire is believed to have broke out around midnight, with the building and it's contents at a total loss. First responders acted quickly and prevented further damage to the surrounding woods and Sugar Creek.
