Th17/Treg imbalance and clinical characteristics in psoriasis patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: a cross-sectional analysis
Abstract Background: Psoriasis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disease that imposes a considerable burden of metabolic comorbidities. Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) is particularly common among patients with psoriasis, which may be attributed to shared metabolic and immune-inflammatory pathogenic pathways. However, evidence linking peripheral T-cell profiles to clinical phenotypes remains limited. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study.
Adjunctive albuvirtide is associated with improved immune recovery in treatment-naive patients with advanced HIV disease receiving bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide: a retrospective propensity score-matched cohort study
Abstract Background: Treatment-naive patients with advanced HIV infection may have incomplete immune reconstitution despite effective antiretroviral therapy (ART). We evaluated whether adjunctive albuvirtide (ABT) added to bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (B/F/TAF) was associated with improved 24-week immune recovery and short-term safety.

Glucocorticoids elevate clear cell renal cell carcinoma sensitivity to HIF-2α inhibitors by suppressing H4K12 lactylation
|
Abstract Approximately 70% of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) patients harbor von Hippel‒Lindau (VHL) deficiency, which drives pseudohypoxia and metabolic reprogramming. Here, we report a histone H4 lysine 12 lactylation (H4K12la)-fueled phosphoglycerate kinase 1 (PGK1)-lactate positive feedback loop that sustains glycolytic flux in VHL-deficient ccRCC and is pharmacologically disruptable by glucocorticoids.

Estimation of the Intracranial Volume Is Crucial in Multi‐Site Studies: Reliability for Longitudinal Investigations and Traveling Subjects
1 Introduction Total intracranial volume (TIV) is associated with body size, such as body height and weight, and is not associated with brain structural and functional characteristics. However, TIV is a key variable for brain MRI studies because some of the structural variables, such as cortical surface area and cortical and subcortical volume, are often adjusted using TIV [Cai et al. 2024; Zhu et al. 2024].

Automatic and accurate reconstruction of long-range axonal projections of single-neuron in mouse brain
eLife Assessment This important paper takes a novel approach to the problem of automatically reconstructing long-range axonal projections from stacks of images. The key innovation is to separate the identification of sections of an axon from the statistical rules used to constrain global structure. The authors provide compelling evidence that their method is a significant improvement over existing measures in circumstances where the labelling of axons and dendrites is relatively dense.
Oblique Thick Light-Sheet Microscopy with Spatiotemporal 3D Localization for RNA Imaging in Intact 50 μm-Thick Sections
Abstract Neuron typing in intact brain sections demands 3D imaging reconciling thickness compatibility with large-area coverage--a persistent challenge for FISH-based imaging methods limited by either restricted fields-of-view (<1 mm*1 mm) or thin-section constraints (<20 um). Here we introduce oblique thick light-sheet microscopy integrated with spatiotemporal 3D localization, enabling multiplexed RNA mapping across 50 um-thick tissue sections and centimeter-scale regions.
