Phospholipid phosphatase 2 drives liver repair and regeneration after acute liver injury
Abstract Acute liver injury is commonly caused by overdose-drug, toxins, or ischemia. The liver possesses a remarkable regenerative capacity, wherein metabolic remodeling plays a crucial role in restoring hepatic function and homeostasis. However, the specific metabolic shift that initiates hepatocyte regeneration remains unclear.

A non-invasive diagnostic model for early detection of gastric and colorectal cancers using serum glycopeptide profiling and machine learning
Abstract Gastrointestinal cancers are leading causes of cancer-related mortality worldwide, with early detection significantly improving survival outcomes. However, current diagnostic methods are either invasive or lack sufficient sensitivity for early-stage disease. This study aimed to develop a non-invasive diagnostic model for gastric and colorectal cancers (the two most prevalent subtypes of gastrointestinal cancers) using serum glycopeptide profiling and machine learning.
Force to Fate: Mechanotransduction Across Molecules, Nuclei, and Plants
You are already at the latest version Mechanotransduction is how cells convert mechanical stimuli — tension, shear, substrate stiffness, viscoelasticity and confinement — into biochemical and transcriptional signals. Once viewed as a specialty of sensory cells, it is now a general principle of cell biology, spanning scales from single-bond lifetimes to tissue remodeling and timescales from millisecond channel gating to durable epigenetic memory.

Parental involvement in neonatal decision-making: a narrative review
Abstract In the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), parents are frequently required to make preference-sensitive decisions under prognostic uncertainty and severe time pressure. Although family-centered care and shared decision-making (SDM) are widely advocated, evidence on how parental involvement varies across neonatal decision contexts remains fragmented.

Natural Multifunctional Silk Microcarriers for Noise‐Induced Hearing Loss Therapy
1 Introduction Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) acquired in occupational settings is one of the most common causes of hearing impairment, especially in industrialized countries.[1] Under noise exposure, excess reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the cochlea are produced, and endogenous antioxidant systems are often insufficient at ROS scavenging.[2] In such cases, exogenous antioxidants can play a positive role in maintaining homeostasis.[3] However, the blood-labyrinth barrier prevents the...

A Local Information Perception Enhancement-Based Method for Chinese NER
1. Introduction From a given unprocessed text, the named entity recognition (NER) task seeks to identify and categorize related entities. Named entity recognition has an essential effect in subsequent natural language processing (NLP) projects. These projects include relation extraction [1], question-answering systems [2], and entity linking [3]. The NER aspect of Chinese usually uses character-level annotation strategies to identify named entities [4].

Fungal Zinc Homeostasis and Its Potential as an Antifungal Target: A Focus on the Human Pathogen Aspergillus fumigatus
Abstract : Aspergillus fumigatus is an opportunistic airborne fungus that causes severe invasive aspergillosis in immunocompromised patients. Zinc is an essential micronutrient for the growth of A. fumigatus and even for all microorganisms. An increasing number of studies have reported that fungal zinc acquisition ability plays a key role in fungal survival in hosts with an extremely zinc-limited microenvironment.

Topological-cavity surface-emitting laser - Nature Photonics
Abstract Output power and beam quality are the two main bottlenecks for semiconductor lasers—the favourite light sources in countless applications because of their compactness, high efficiency and cheapness. Both limitations are due to the fact that it becomes increasingly harder to stabilize a single-mode laser over a broader chip area without multi-mode operations.

Dirac-vortex topological cavities
Abstract Cavity design is crucial for single-mode semiconductor lasers such as the ubiquitous distributed feedback and vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers. By recognizing that both of these optical resonators feature a single mid-gap mode localized at a topological defect in the one-dimensional lattice, we upgrade this topological cavity design concept into two dimensions using a honeycomb photonic crystal with a vortex Dirac gap by applying the generalized Kekulé modulations.
Electronic correlations and flattened band in magnetic Weyl semimetal candidate Co3Sn2S2
Abstract The interplay between electronic correlations and topological protection may offer a rich avenue for discovering emergent quantum phenomena in condensed matter. However, electronic correlations have so far been little investigated in Weyl semimetals (WSMs) by experiments. Here, we report a combined optical spectroscopy and theoretical calculation study on the strength and effect of electronic correlations in a magnet Co3Sn2S2.
Revealing the missing dimension at an exceptional point
Abstract The radiation of electromagnetic and mechanical waves depends not only on the intrinsic properties of the emitter but also on the surrounding environment. This principle has laid the foundation for the development of lasers, quantum optics, sonar, musical instruments and other fields related to wave–matter interaction. In the conventional wisdom, the environment is defined exclusively by its eigenstates, and an emitter radiates into and interacts with these eigenstates.
