Evaluating walkability and vitality in cold-region historic districts of China via street view semantics and SHAP
Abstract As historic districts undergo sustainable urban regeneration, enhancing walkability is important for supporting local vitality. However, conventional walkability evaluation frameworks often emphasize openness and may not fully account for the climate-adaptive characteristics of compact spatial configurations in severe cold regions. Moreover, traditional linear models may overlook nonlinear and threshold-like relationships between micro-scale built environments and population vitality.

Enhanced volumetric additive manufacturing via Reversible Addition-Fragmentation Chain Transfer (RAFT) polymerization
Abstract Computed Axial Lithography (CAL), a Volumetric Additive Manufacturing (VAM) technology, enables the rapid, full body i.e. not layer-by-layer, fabrication of freeform geometries within seconds through the superposition of projected light patterns. However, as conventional CAL relies on free radical polymerization (FRP), it is an intrinsically exothermic process (ΔT > 60 °C) that can trigger auto-acceleration, so compromising print fidelity and limiting scalability.

Inverse design of structural colours in polymeric films with crystallization-induced reversible thermochromism - Nature Communications
Abstract Precisely controlling structural colours in polymeric materials remains a major challenge, with current approaches often relying on trial-and-error synthesis. Here, we develop a colour design model, enabling inverse design of structural colours in bottlebrush block copolymers (BBCPs). The model can quantitatively link BBCP molecular structures to macroscopic colours through the integration of a strong segregation self-consistent field theory model with a multilayer optical framework.

Reduced glutathione ameliorates sepsis-induced acute kidney injury in mouse model: involvement of cuproptosis
Abstract Background Cuproptosis, a copper-induced form of programmed cell death, has been implicated in the pathogenesis of acute kidney injury (AKI) and sepsis. Reduced glutathione (GSH), a potent antioxidant, exhibits both anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative properties. However, its potential role in modulating cuproptosis in AKI remains unexplored. This study investigates the effects of reduced GSH on cuproptosis in a sepsis-induced AKI mouse model.

Development and validation of a simple-to-use coronary calcium score based nomograph for predicting obstructive coronary artery disease - Chinese Journal of Academic Radiology
Abstract Screening for obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD) is crucial. Conventional cardiovascular risk models have relatively poor performance in predicting obstructive coronary artery disease. CAC score (CACS) is the strongest predictor of obstructive CAD.

Repairing the interfacial defect via preferable adsorption of ytterbium enables high-utilization and dendrite-free Zn metal anode
Repairing the interfacial defect via preferable adsorption of ytterbium enables high-utilization and dendrite-free Zn metal anode Dendrite growth and spontaneous corrosion of zinc (Zn) metal anodes pose significant challenges for their application in grid-scale energy storage, primarily due to the instability of the bulk phase characterized by enriched defects. This study introduces ytterbium (Yb) as a strategic additive to fundamentally improve the stability of the anode.

Synergistic Effects of Precursor Reduction and Ion Migration Blocking Enable Highly Sensitive MAPbI₃ X-ray Detector with Low Detection Limit Lead halide perovskites have emerged as promising materials for sensitive, low-dose-rate X-ray imaging. However, the dark current drift caused by ion migration poses challenges to their long-term operational stability and performances.

Zincophilic SnS2 protective layer for homogeneous deposition towards dendrite-free aqueous Zn metal batteries
Aqueous zinc metal batteries (AZMBs) are promising candidates high safety, non-flammable, low-cost, and environmental benign [1], [2]. Zinc metal is suitable as the anode in aqueous system owing to low potential (−0.762 V vs. SHE), high theoretical specific capacity (820 mAh/g) [3]. However, zinc metal endures continuously corrosion and irreversible parasitic reactions leading to the consumption of Zn [4].

RESPECT2 trial is an investigator-initiated, prospective, community-based, open-label, and pragmatic randomized controlled trial. The primary objective is to assess the effect of the CCTA-guided prevention strategy (CCTA group) on lipid management versus usual care (usual care group) in the asymptomatic population. The second study objective is to determine the prevalence of subclinical CAD among middle-aged and elderly (40 ~ 69 years) asymptomatic community individuals in Nanjing, China.

Acid-Catalyzed Regioselective Remote Heteroarylation of Alkenes via C=C Bond Migration
Acid-Catalyzed Regioselective Remote Heteroarylation of Alkenes via C=C Bond Migration We report herein the acid-catalyzed regioselective remote heteroarylation and reductive alkylation of alkenes. Various alkenes, including mono-, di-, tri-substituted alkenes and cyclic alkenes are applicable to this reaction. This method exhibits broad substrate scope, high functional group tolerance and high atomic economy.
Fluorinated chlorin chromophores for red-light-driven CO2 reduction - Nature Communications
Abstract The utilization of low-energy photons in light-driven reactions is an effective strategy for improving the efficiency of solar energy conversion. In nature, photosynthetic organisms use chlorophylls to harvest the red portion of sunlight, which ultimately drives the reduction of CO2. However, a molecular system that mimics such function is extremely rare in non-noble-metal catalysis.
