The press conference lasted 14 minutes and included questions from only three outlets - Breitbart News Network, The Daily Mail, and FOX News. FOX news asked whether her role includes making things less tough for Republicans in the midterms. Zacharia said she hoped to amplify the president’s agenda.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB/Gray News) - Authorities in Louisiana say a man has been taken into custody in connection with the death of his 92-year-old father. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the victim was identified as Larry Salisbury. Police said he was found with injuries consistent with blunt-force trauma Monday night inside a home on Archery Drive. Baton Rouge Sgt. L’Jean McKneely said officers received a description of a person of interest in the case, Salisbury’s son.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC/Gray News) - Five people were killed in a crash involving a Memphis police car, according to authorities A total of five people were killed early Sunday when their vehicle collided with a Memphis police car at Hickory Hill and East Raines roads. The vehicle carried six people; however, the sixth person remains in the hospital in critical condition.

COLOGNE, Germany (AP) — German authorities opened an investigation into possible sexual harassment after a robot controlled by two young men touched the buttocks of a 16-year-old girl and made thrusting movements toward her, police said. Police in the western city of Cologne responded after the incident overnight Saturday to Sunday in which the robot’s suspected 16-year-old owner and a 19-year-old companion were said to have filmed the alleged assault.

LAS VEGAS (KVVU/Gray News) — Duane “Keffe D” Davis has been sentenced in the 1996 shooting death murder case of Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas. On Tuesday, Judge Carli Kierny sentenced Davis to 40 years to life in prison for orchestrating the murder of Shakur. A jury found Davis guilty on Aug. 31 after less than three hours of deliberations on charges that included first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon. Davis had already been in police custody since his arrest in September 2023.
