Beloved Dragonfly Sculpture returns to Forsythe Park—restored, repainted, reinstalled

MONROE, La. (KNOE) -A Monroe art staple is back in Forsythe Park—restored, repainted, and reinstalled. But this time, the Dragonfly sculpture has a new purpose. Crews and engineers were on site as early as 6 a.m. Tuesday, carefully lifting and setting the beloved piece into place. The Dragonfly was first created in 1995 by local artist Edmund Williamson with support from a grant through the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council and the Playground League nonprofit.
