GREENVILLE, S.C. (WHNS/Gray News) - Hayden Panettiere’s former choreographer and “Nashville” colleague is remembering the actor’s “remarkable” talent following her death in Greenville. Carrafa said Panettiere dove headfirst into the work, even when she was outside her comfort zone. “A lot of actors need to sort of build up and find the moment to work into their emotions. And it just felt like Hayden had this immediate access to anything at any time in her work,” Carrafa said.
‘I’ll never forget it’: City worker saves woman during flood
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - “That scream I’ll never forget it,” city of Charleston street department worker Michael Epoulipiy said. “I just couldn’t do anything. There’s no way.” The City of Charleston heavy equipment operator said he was called into work, then Michael and his coworkers went to Garrison Avenue to make sure the drains were clear of debris on Sunday. “And by the time we actually started coming up, water was already on the road,” he said.
Supreme Court allows White House ballroom construction to continue
WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court says construction on President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom project can continue for now. The temporary order came from Chief Justice John Roberts and allows work to continue while the high court considers the Trump administration’s emergency appeal. The ballroom project is being built where the East Wing of the White House once stood and now has a price tag of about $400 million.

NCAA gets win in court on 5-year eligibility rule, but this is hardly the end of the lawsuits
DENVER (AP) — The NCAA notched an important win in federal court Friday over its much-disputed five-year eligibility rule, though it fell short of shutting down the last-minute shuffling threatening to upend college sports rosters with football season fast approaching. A 2-1 decision by a panel of the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals halted, for now, a judge’s order that would have granted thousands of athletes an extra season of eligibility.
