HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - One person has been hurt after a stabbing in Huntington. It happened just after 4 a.m. Monday in the 1800 block of 7th Ave. Dispatchers at Cabell County 911 say one person was taken to the hospital. No additional details have been released. Huntington Police are investigating.

Man arrested after crashing through roadblock

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Deputies in Kanawha County arrested a man they say crashed through a roadblock on Interstate 79. This happened around 12 a.m. as members of the sheriff’s office, the Charleston Police Department and the West Virginia Division of Highways were helping with traffic control near the Mink Shoals exit. The road was shutdown as part of an active investigation related to an officer-involved shooting.

Deputies: Man dies after threatening EMS crew with knife

ELKVIEW, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A man has died after deputies say he threatened an EMS crew with a knife and then fell off of their moving vehicle. The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 2 a.m. Thursday on Rail Avenue in Elkview. Deputies say a man, later identified as John Curtis Lucas, who was wearing a trench coat had been seen near the ambulance station Wednesday evening.
