New fire training facility coming to Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A resolution was passed to improve the training of firefighters in Charleston. At Monday’s Charleston City Council meeting, a resolution was passed for a new training facility in the capitol city. Firefighters currently have to train in Fayetteville or use donated abandoned structures in the city.

City council approves multi-million dollar building restoration project

PORTSMOUTH, OHIO (WSAZ) - A building in Portsmouth is getting a makeover. Portsmouth City Council approved a project to spend 4.5 million dollars on renovating the bank building on 5th and 3rd Street. The City hopes this restoration will boost downtown economy.
