How Doddridge County Schools have become one of the region’s top districts
DODDRIDGE COUNTY, W.Va (WDTV) - Doddridge County ranks among the bottom 10 counties in the state in population, but that hasn’t stopped its school district from punching above its weight. Doddridge County Schools is providing free home Wi-Fi installation to all households with a student enrolled in the district, through a partnership with Citynet. The partnership between Doddridge County Schools and Citynet began in 2019.
Superintendent claims he wasn’t aware of shock gloves used in schools, but emails say otherwise
OMAHA, Neb. (KETV) - Controversy is stirring in Nebraska over the use of shock gloves by school resource officers, stemming from two incidents in Omaha Public Schools last year. The superintendent says he wasn’t aware the gloves were being used in schools. But emails obtained by KETV revealed communication about the gloves began years ago.
Vinton County family members indicted in child sexual abuse, endangerment cases
VINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) - Several indictments were issued by a Vinton County grand jury Friday in two criminal cases involving child sexual abuse and child endangerment, according to Vinton County Prosecutor William Archer, Vinton County Sheriff Ryan Cain, and Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson. The charges stem from two separate criminal investigations led by the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).
